Just got an interview invite e-mail as well! Super excited! First interview 🙂)))
My heart just fluttered as soon as that outlook express notification popped up!
Scheduled for the 16th of September! Completed July 8th, so mine was super late!! Congrats everyone!

My interview is scheduled for 9/9. Im in-state
in hopes to reassure you all a bit that it's not all about GPA here are my stats...
MCAT: 34 in April 2011 (totally forgot all my undergrad science stuff and had to relearn everything...)
Undergrad GPA 3.5, BCPM ~3.3
UCLA grad (double major Psychobio and French) in 2008
Master's in Neuroscience from France (grades not verified by AMCAS) in 2009
Post-bacc research fellowship from NIH for a year 2009-2010
Public health research at non-profit (2010-2011)
Current: paid full-time employment at HIV/AIDS clinic doing clinical research since february
As long as you have proven that medicine is for you, I think a lot of schools are lenient on undergrad GPA.

just FYI for everybody: i contacted the admissions office and, although they prefer that you NOT change your interview date once you schedule it, they only open up a few dates at a time (i.e. why those who received invites late july early aug only had access to the august interview dates). However, if you can't make the interview until a later date you can either A. wait to schedule your interview until later dates appear (as the sooner dates fill up) or B. contact the admissions office through the application "contact us" option. Davis has been really great about answering my questions and I am sure if they have offered you an interview, they would be happy to help/accomodate.

My wait was for exactly a month. I think the wait time is generally different for every applicant 🙂
Quick question. How many of those who received an invite for an interview applied for one of the PRIME programs at UCD SoM? I know that if you did there are two rounds of review, one for the MD program and one for the PRIME. Just trying to figure out what the silence mean since my app was complete on 7/15 and I did apply for Rural PRIME.
I have an cGPA of 3.9, BCPM 3.98 and a 31Q MCAT score. My AMCAS was certified 6/22 and I got the receipt from UCD on 6/23 but haven't heard anything since. I saw on here that people were getting secondaries usually in a 24 hour turn-around, but I feel like I should have definitely made the cut off to at least receive a secondary. Should I assume that I was rejected pre-secondary? I haven't received a rejection e-mail though, either. And would they tell me anything if I called?
Call them or email them and ask for secondary. There is no way this is a pre secondary rejection unless you got a 6 or 7 in some section of the MCAT.

Yes and I called yesterday and they told me I am currently under review. But how long does it take to screen for a secondary honestly? I thought it was a pretty basic GPA/MCAT screen...a computer could do that in 2 seconds. Oh Davis.
They told me the same thing, but hinted that my being OOS was the reason for the delay. So.. we'll see.

On the secondary, for the 3 experiences, what do we put if it's a current experience and don't know when it will end? I tried writing "current" but it wouldn't accept it 🙁

oh Hmmm ok I am OOS too, maybe they look at those last since Davis has like a 1% matriculate rate for OOS.
put the current date that you're submitting your application. The FAQs section had that answer, which I did not read before submitting my apps, so I ended up putting a future date lol

you might be too low but id wait...your not gonna hear from them with stats like that until november december maybe not even until like feb...if you hit the end of the year without hearing a thing id e-mail or call and update them with a better GPA and EC/volunteering and tell them about ur interest in the school etc (i know some schools accept update e-mails while others don't, i'm not sure if UCDavis does)

unfortunately these cali schools r just incredibly hard to get into its definitely not like other state schools (I have friends who got into their state schools with 26 MCAT and around a 3.5GPA) but I agree Nothing is impossible and we just gotta have faith the adcoms like what they read 🙂

Does anyone know where the interviews take place (the Davis or Sacramento campus)? I want to book a flight but don't know where to fly into! And also, if I fly in, is it close enough to get a cab or would I need to rent a car?

Just realized that I've been rejected since 8/24. I was complete 8/6. My status still says complete, but when I scroll down, I see an X and "Application declined - no longer under consideration." The rejection notice was also in my Message Center. Never received an email for it. IS, 3.7 cGPA, 34Q MCAT. I'm bummed, but still rooting for everyone else!
