I have the same thing (interview scheduled last week), but I can't activate my UCI ID. The system doesn't recognize the student ID number. Don't worry about it for now, I guess.. :laugh:

I got that too! I have been Under Review for more than two weeks now 🙁
Is that a good sign or does it just happen to everyone??
 
Does anyone know if Irvine looks at letters prior to offering interviews? Or are they a school that only looks at LORs after the interview has been completed?

I know some schools (Duke, Pitt, SUNY Upsate) operate that way, but not sure about the UCs.

I'm pretty sure they use the letters in determining interview invites at uci.

I think it's pretty safe to assume that if you need the LORs to be received before they'll mark your app complete, then it follows that they look at your LORs prior to interview invites.

I could be wrong though. I know that Ohio State doesn't look at your letters until your interview, and they make it clear that you don't need to turn them in until the day of your interview if you decide.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes them to change your application to complete (and letters complete)? I read something on the second page of this thread that the person who downloads letters is on vacation?

My secondary was received a while ago, but my letters were received by AMCAS on this Monday.

Sorry, I meant to quote the person you quoted in your previous post. Didn't mean to offend 😀, there's just been a ton of questions in the posts lately that can be answered by reading back a page or two.
 
hmm I tried to activate my UCINet ID, but it gave me this error:
"The ID number you entered could not be found. Please check the number you entered, and try again, or contact the OIT Help Desk at 824-2222 for assistance."

Is anyone else having the same problem? or is it just me..

I'm pretty sure you don't get the UCINetID until you're accepted... Then you'll need it for Financial Aid, UCI email address, etc.
 
So any news for anyone from irvine?? The silence is killing me...
 
UCI is one of my top choices. I have feeling that one of my secondaries was only tangentially related to the prompt though, hopefully that isn't a deal breaker.

Why must I be from California
 
Previous posters who have received interviews on this thread have said that UCI does not send out emails to inform applicants they have received interview invites. Do they really not send out any email at all? Should we be checking our applicant status every day/every few days? Thanks in advance all.

Same stats (3.84, 34 MCAT), under review since 7/15

I submitted on 7/13, but they didn't mark me complete until 7/20. I'm holding out hope that they're just going through in order, and they just haven't gotten to me yet.:xf:
 
Hey, to all of you who got invites to interview, did you submit your apps on 7/15 (or whatever date) or were you marked complete on 7/15 (or whatever date)?

Hmmm...just found an 'interview notification' email in my inbox from Irvine, so I guess they've started emailing applicants?

Its a hold. It means they reviewed your application and don't want to interview you at this time, but may rereview your file later. They will rereview the holds later in the season and fill any leftover spots.
 
I recently received an interview. HOO RAY! I got it through e-mail and didn't check my application status. Possibly, you need not go back and forth to the status.
 
Just checked my status for the first time and found that I was not awarded a secondary application on the 8th of August. IS applicant: 3.5/30/URM/reapplicant. 🙁
 
I just received an email about an interview invite for the PRIME-LC program! 😀 Just wondering for other interviewers (not necessarily PRIME) but when you choose your interview date, does it only show one date? Unfortunately only one date shows up (10/3) and I will be out of town that weekend, and was wondering if other dates would eventually open up...should I just wait or politely ask the admissions office if I could schedule it on another date? Thanks for your help!

When were you completed? Stats? I was completed 7/21 with c3.64, s3.7 33M from CA.

curious to know as well. looks like UCI glossed over my app LOL. complete 7/15 3.7c 3.6s 33R CA resident. i figure if you get an invite, slug, then they probably passed me

Well there is still re-review right? Unless they rejected us we can still dream about UCI every night :laugh:
