I also got the email today about the secondary!
secondary app question..
do they mean 500 words or 500 characters?
I believe it's 500 words.
you can do it before your primary is submitted. You should get two emails from SW. One that they got your secondary and one that they got your primary
can you detail your steps from loggin to error?
Ah, I was indeed a browser thing. Switched to firefox and did not come across the same issue. Thanks!
Quick Q: On the list your particular experiences for your main interest (say, research) did you guys include dates, PI names? Just curious as to what would be the more appropriate way to list them.

Nah, just say what you have done and why it has made you interested in research, teaching, etc. You don't have to list specifics.
i dont think they even want you to say why. i thought it was just a simple listing
has anyone else received an email saying UTSW received your secondary, but has not received an email saying they received your primary? my primary was only transmitted on the 24th so maybe they have not started downloading the recent transmissions...
Thanks
Last year they started sending out invites around mid August...Does anyone know when they historically start notifying people about interviews?? I am anxiously waiting 🙂!!
My TMDSAS was transmitted on 6/10 and I have yet to receive an email from Southwestern saying they got my primary. I completed the secondary and got the email receipt for that though.
You should prob check with UTSW, mine was transmitted on 6/27, and they send me an email yesterday confirming reception.
Hey guys I have a quick MCAT question about UT-SW.
I am a Texas resident and I am really interested in UT-SW. I have a 3.8 gpa from a Top 20 university. What kind of mcat score do I need to be competitive for UT-SW number wise?
Thanks for the help, and GL on the application process.🙂

Someone at UTSW told me that a 33 is highly skewed by URM data. Anyone know if there is any validity to this statement? Would a 33 be considered competitive for UTSW for a non-urm?
I have the MSAR and can give you the data for people accepted to UTSW.
Total Score:
10th percentile - 29
Median - 35
90th percentile - 38
Writing:
10th percentile - N
Median - Q
90th percentile - S
Verbal:
10th percentile - 9
Median - 11
90th percentile - 13
PS:
10th percentile - 10
Median - 12
90th percentile - 14
BS:
10th percentile - 10
Median - 12
90th percentile - 14
Note that the data from UTSW's website only accounts for people who ended up matriculating, whereas the MSAR accounts for everyone who got accepted regardless of where they ended up for med school. Hope that helps.
