Same here. Verified on August 17 and I haven't received anything thats said they even received my primary.

Glad there are others in the same boat, I was starting to worry. I called and left admissions a voicemail but I'm guessing thats not going to do any good since it sounds like they are very busy. Guess we will see

I think their number listed on website is wrong. I got their actual number through the university operator. I tried talking to them for fee waiver, but there is a new person who is moving manual applications this year. Nothing happened for a week. I didnt want to wait this long to move. I just paid $80 (my entire bank balance at that moment 😀)

On another note, what are the adcoms doing at this moment? I am lookingfor some instate love!!!

same thing for me, I was never able to get through. Mine was concerning the completion of my secondary application, but similarly, emails, phone calls, voicemails, and no response. was just lucky enough to get what i believe is a electronically generated complete notice...

I wasn't able to get in touch using the phone number on the website, but the university operator gave me (419) 383-3438 and I finally got through! Hope that helps.

finally got to talk to someone but i called the number listed on the website. they said 24 hours after they moved the application into the system, you can log in and hit submit.

Some schools just move a little bit slower. It looks like it is worth the wait, so let's be patient. I think they literally just started reviewing anyway, so it really isn't surprising. I would also consider the fact that we can even be interviewed in March. This is a long slow process, so it is best to be calm and enjoy the fight even though it is stressful. 🙂

I haven't received word that I'm complete after almost a month. I've called and emailed several times with no reply. I'm getting pretty frustrated!

I'm in the same boat. They don't answer the phone and I haven't received a reply to my email yet. I submitted August 30th and today is September 29th...

So I just got in touch with their admissions office. They told me that the woman who was in charge of sending out e-mails to applicants who completed their appications retired and the e-mail address was deleted, so the office never knew that we didn't recieve notications

furthermore, the website will NOT show your application or status after you submit it.


They told me that they will be sending out batches of e-mails starting on monday to applicants who have completed their application. They have been reviewing the applications though!

I think the admissions office is going through a staff change at the moment, which is why they are a bit behind. I would wait until later this week to take action. They are going to be sending out e-mails starting monday, and maybe they will start giving out secondaries again.

Yes, I have actually set foot in the office, and I can confirm that that the person who handled all of this last year is no longer working there. It's not total chaos in there, but things are moving very slowly, obviously. Basically, everyone just needs to be patient. You will probably be processed slower than at other schools, but no slower relative to one another. Nothing is gained or lost; just focus on other schools.

In fact it appears that even through some of the postings people with stats like myself (some may consider not par with other overachieving applicants) are still awarded a secondary. I received mine within two weeks of AMCAS verification. They probably do a holistic review of each applicant and go from there, but I think like all schools this year they move slow. Also even if you get an interview or secondary doesn't necessarily mean that you will be given a spot in the school.

Also for those that can't get in touch with adcom you might want to call on a Friday afternoon that's what I did because I haven't received an e-mail from the adcom that my secondary was complete. Sounds like they are swamped due to the previous person that dealt with all of this retiring and AMCAS sending the retiree e-mails of primary applications and its hard to get access/login to her e-mail account.

I asked because I'm not necessarily strong in the MCAT area so I'm glad that it may be a more holistic review, and yeah definitely know that an interview doesn't entitle you to a spot! 3 Interviews last cycle, no acceptance 😱 waitlist tho

Yes, I did almost immediately after sending in my AMCAS in September (I had applied early decision to another school).

There is not a set time where you can call. You just have to call throughout the day. I called like 15 times and only talked to her 3 times about my secondary submission and until today, it's not done. I usually called towards end of the day around 4pm. They don't seem to respond to emails

I've received secondaries from all schools except toledo, and even an interview invite already so thats why I was so concerned about Toledo 🙁

In my experience, she always responded quickly to e-mails (same day unless it was after 4pm).

If it puts anyone's mind at ease, not even the kids in the msbs program who are guaranteed interviews have gotten the secondary yet.

Called the number listed on the admissions website today, left a voicemail, and they got back to me very fast. Turns out they had tried to send my secondary a long time ago, but never went through so they sent it again...and now I'm happy 🙂. Make sure and include your AAMCID with your voicemail if you decide to leave one, may speed up the process.

OOS with < 30 MCAT so if you're sub-30 not all hope is lost!
