Happy new year! Just wanted to wish the January interviewees luck. I'll be there with you guys and fingers crossed! Let's hope for good news all around.
And if you're waiting for an II, don't give up hope... definitely call and speak to someone about your file. I think calling and sending letters of update/interest helped me a lot. Good luck!

Hey, I am not sure if this question has been asked in this tread but someone here definitely knows something.
Creighton has a special requirement on their website that you MUST take the mcat the same year that you will be applying. I found this very strange as a requirement. I haven't seen this in other med schools.

you must have read this wrong. My applicant has been complete since Sept and I took my MCAT in 2011.
Unless that is new this cycle, there was probably a typo or something. Can you post the link where you saw that?

the admissions office said they will begin to review apps again for ii's starting this week. not sure if that helps.

Complete 11/27. I haven't received email yet, but I just logged into my app on the Creighton site and had an II waiting! 35O, 3.4 undergrad, 3.9 MS. Excited to interview on Feb 1st! Not looking forward to the 2 month wait afterwards...I'm going to go batty. Already going nuts 2 weeks after my UNMC interview.

Shoot. No II here. My MD chances are getting slimmer and slimmer each day. Really thought I had an ok shot here, just have to keep hoping.
After one very pricey plane ticket I will be attending an interview on February 8th.

Hi everyone, I interviewed 11/9 and was put on "hold" 12/14 and asked to send an update of my service experiences. I sent in a document in less than a week detailing recent experiences... haven't heard anything back yet. Anyone else in the same boat or know what the deal is with applications on hold? Thanks!
Wow, good luck! Quite a long way to fly for an interview.
I had the same thing done with my application. I thought I was done for, but I took a lot of time and care in filling out what they wanted, and got in. They got back to me within the week. Good luck.
Hi everyone. do you think they are done sending this round of II outs after going over apps this week? i called in to see the status of my app and they lady said it was still being actively considered for interviews... what do you think this means? Do you think there is still a chance to get an invite or is this just a delayed rejection?

I called the other day and was told nothing.. did you speak to a counselor though? I'm kicking myself for missing the open door today.
Thanks for your response.. good to know the "hold" thing turned out well for someone! I'm guessing a decision on my application is taking a while because of the holidays.
interviewed 11/16. letters disappeared on 1/10 and i just got my acceptance today (dated 1/14)!!!
No problem. I received my HOLD email on a Friday, wrote out my answers that afternoon, reread them on Sunday, and sent them off. That must have either been the 7th or the 14th when they sent the initial email, and my letter of acceptance was dated the 21st. So, before the holidays and the break they had. I guess it has been some time since they came back from the break, and I do not mean to make you worry, but I'm sure if they didn't want you, they would have rejected you already.
