Just interviewed this past saturday, they told us that the first acceptances will go out first week november and then every two week after that. But people with earlier interviews will find out faster about their fate then those who interviewed later. They told us that the EARLIEST we would know is at the end of november for the 10/27 people. They also said they accept people through march, then resort to the waitlist. just fyi for everyone

Are we there yet? How about now? Now? Ok now?
 
Anybody else get a hold email without being complete? I don't understand how they can review me later, i.e. hold status, without even looking at me first.
 
Anyone have any idea when to expect rejections to begin? I just got one from UAPhoenix and was quite the sad panda.

Does anyone know when the first batch of interviews happened? I interviewed on 9/21 and this wait is killing me

First interviews were 9/14, so you were one of the early ones!
 
Will we start getting some acceptances tomorrow? Hope everyone posts so we all know when the process has started. Good luck SDN

Yeah I saw that too. The only thing I got from the admissions was early to mid november.
I guess we were getting spoiled with all of Tara's updates for the Phoenix thread

I got an email saying I was missing 1 quarter of english... dno if that means anything

I wish I knew. Haha. Well I think it means that my application will go into the pool of applications for the next round, and get reviewed by the committee again. I think that is different than a wait list, but I am not an admissions expert. That could be false optimism.

My email was the same as yours. Thanks for making feel a little better about it. I think your right about the process. I heard that your application goies back into the stack for the next adcom meeting. This is supposed to protect against being interviewed in a group with really awesome canidates versus by chance being interviewed with less awesome ones.

I agree. I don't feel it is a wait list, but rather an opportunity to have our application review against another round of applicants.

We have sent out accepts today and while you were not selected at this time, you are still an active candidate in our applicant pool and eligible for acceptance at any time in the season.

We will continually update you on a regular basis regarding your status.

I got the above message. I called and asked what it meant. They said that it meant you may or may not have even been reviewed yet and not to read too much into it. They said they randomly review applicants, not in the order we interviewed. When did you all interview? I interviewed on 10/12. I think I am reading way to much into it. I really liked the school though so it is hard not to read into it!

09/21. Yeah asking us not to read into it is like asking the sun not to shine; its going to happen. haha.
 
Thank you. I was told that it is very early in the season and every time they send out acceptances they will notify all candidates that interviewed irregardless of whether or not they have been reviewed by the committee.
 
So we may have not even been reviewed yet? Almost gave me a heart attack with that email.
 
Yeah, that is what they said. I was interviewed almost a month ago though so seems like I would have been reviewed? I have no idea though.
 
Interviewed the first day (9/14) and got that email too. Pretty sure they would have reviewed me by now. Boo.
 
Well they did also say that they randomize the applications so people aren't always reviewed in the order they interview?? So I dunno. I'm definitely disappointed though.
 
I interviewed on super Saturday (10/27) and even though we were told we wouldn't be eligible for the first round of acceptances, this e-mail still shook me up lol.

Hang in there. If they interviewed you they are definitely interested. At a workshop in Phoenix they said it costs on average 500 bucke per interview applicant so the school is investing in the opportunity to learn more about you. Also it is very difficult to figure out how you did in the interview. Unless you said something like you hate people and want to be a doctor so you can make lots of money.:laugh:

LOL. thanks!! I definitely didn't say those things!! I jut thought I could have backed up some of my statements a lot better. 🙂
 
Don't worry. I got the same message and have not interviewed yet. My interview is on the 17th.
 
lol so they just wanted to crush a few spirits and let us know some others got accepted
 
My friend got accepted today--I'm actually surprised he isn't on sdn posting about it here--but there are acceptees among us!
I can't remember when he interviewed, sometime in September I believe.
 
I know 3 people accepted yesterday. All 3 instate. One of them interviewed 10/15, but I don't know about the other 2.
