Haha I think your worrying too much. Relax. She repeated about 100 times at the interview that she knows nothing about when you'll be called about acceptance and even if your accepted or have been presented to the committee. Just relax no point in stressing out.

Haha you and the other high stats people are the only calm ones. I feel a phantom vibration phone call every 20 minutes even though I know they only call in the evenings...This cycle is killing me.

I like how you refer to 'others' as the high stats people when you have a 34 MCAT.

Beyond what one could gather from reading the website, does anyone know how long it would take to decide whether a reapplicant is invited to complete a secondary?

And I'd like a 4.0/40 but I have what I have. Don't worry about it. In all likelihood you're going to medical school; relax and enjoy the ride.

I guess they didn't start calling tonight? Next Monday then? Really, if they've made some decisions, how hard would it be to let us know!?


also, where's KDizz at? if anyone gets a call it'll be him- please kdiz, let us know when they get started. ..

KDizz probably got accepted to a much better school already 😉. Maybe with a scholarship too...Why can't I be like him?
 
wait so nobody's gotten into UNC right? The plus one was for ECU?

I interviewed in mid September and got the call a couple of hours ago. Best of luck and congrats on your acceptances already!

Like I said, I'm a nut. I'll keep everyone posted:

Ms. James,

I know you aren't at liberty to discuss my application status over email or over the phone, but I'm burning with curiosity about some general aspects of the notification process and was wondering if you might be able to answer certain questions.

1) Has the committee officially informed anyone of decisions that have been made?
2) Have decisions been made for the pool that interviewed on the 12th? My interviewers were Dr. Gilliland and Dr. Chesnutt if this makes any difference.
3) I've heard that the committee only releases information on certain days at certain times. Could you tell me when these are? I know that this is a long process that requires a lot of patience but I've been neurotically checking my phone since the 15th rolled around and if you know for certain that we won't hear anything for another two weeks, it would help my peace of mind to know that.

I understand that these questions are pesky and unproductive and that you may not be able to answer them. I apologize for inconveniencing you as I know this is an incredibly busy time for you and the entire admissions department. Thank you for your patience and I hope the season is treating you well.

This was the response I received from Joni:


"First of all you are not bothering me. As I told everyone on the interview day, I have no idea when an applicant's file goes to the committee or even when it gets discussed at their subcommittee meeting. UNC is rolling admissions and that means we can admit students up to the first day of orientation and because you interview at the beginning doesn't mean that you file will go up at the first committee meeting. So it is a very long process and like I have said in the past it could take a very long time. I understand this is very nerve racking but please just relax and try to be patient. There really isn't a set time or date since we are rolling admissions."

Doesn't really resolve any of my questions, but Joni's great.

Got an acceptance call on Monday evening around 6:30 pm. I am in-state. Interviewed a couple of weeks ago. Good luck to everyone.

Just got the FAFSA email for the 3rd time. Oh UNC. . . someone needs to come in and work on your organization/ communication a little bit.

Haha, I just got it for the second time. Let's take it as a sign that they really want us there.
 
Yeah I got it for the third time too haha. I now realize it meant nothing.
 
I interviewed last week and got my first one today.
 
Received my acceptance packet today....anyone else?? So excited!!🙂🙂
