I swear Toledo is the king of sending emails that have no point 🙁 Been complete since August and I received my 2nd "we haven't forgotten about you but there's no decision yet" email from them today lol. Sigh. My heart always jumps when I see these emails for no reason 😳

+1 for the email. What pisses me off more is that they also threw in an advertisement for various master programs. No, I don't want a masters in bioinformatics, I want to practice medicine. When I applied to med school last year, some schools advertised their other programs in their rejection letters too. Its pretty much a slap in the face.

same, and by the time I got the rejection letters, the deadline for applying to those programs had already passed. I'm not going to consider an extra year of school and debt just for a "guaranteed interview".
 
Toledo really knows how to give an applicant that warm, fuzzy feeling inside. You know, that wonderful feeling associated with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, myocardial infarction, and heartburn.
 
Interview invite received today! Keep hope people, I was complete in August. Maybe that email yesterday was them gearing up to send out more offers.
 
For those who have interviewed, around when did it end? I'm going to interview Feb 18th, but I'm scheduled to work at 2 (I work in Toledo).

I had an interview at 2 as did most people in my group. I think I was done around 3/3:30pm.

When did you go in? Was it in the morning at 8am and you left at 3pm or you went in at 2pm and left the school at 3pm.

I would like to know since I have to make sure my bus does not leave me behind. Thanks.

I started the interview day at 8:45 am and it went (I think...) until 3/3:30 pm. In the morning you get an admissions presentation, financial aid presentation, break, first interview, and then lunch. After lunch you get a tour done by M1/M2 students and then you have your last interview either at 1:15 pm or 2:15 pm and they usually last 45 minutes to an hour.

Judging by the lack of activity in here, does this school actually have an admissions committee? We know they have at least one person that likes to send troll emails that say a whole lot of nothing haha

On the bright side, maybe it also indicates their class is filling slowly and late interviewees stand a good chance. /glasshalffull

Called the office this morning and apparently they are still offering quite a few interview invites, with interviews lasting through April. Hopefully this helps some people out. Was personally complete on 7/23 (IS), and my file hasn't even been reviewed yet **sobs violently into crook of arm*** :cry:

Hey, I had all but given up hope, but almost 6 months after my complete date I got an II. Did you ask about LOI or updated letters? Just something to keep you fresh in their mind.

I didn't ask about letters, which looking back on it seems sort of dumb, but at least we know that interviews are still going out! 😳
 
Anyone send an update letter to UT? I haven't heard back about an interview yet and was thinking of sending one.

I've sent an update, but didn't hear anything back after doing so. I called the office yesterday and had to ask if they had received my update. They simply told me that it had been added to my file and that they were still in the process of reviewing applications for interviews.
 
I was complete here at the end of September and was getting worried after not hearing anything. Apparently they have gotten a lot of applications with mid/upper 30 mcats (made me nervous with my below 30 score) really hoping for an interview here, it's good to know I'm not the only one waiting to hear back.
 
Ooof. Being my best shot at MD, I sure hope my interview went better than I think it did. For those of you yet to interview- the intro/info session is fine and par for the course I think. My first interviewer didn't know my name or what program I was interviewing for. Which hey it happens, but that threw me off. I have to hand it to the second professor, though. 45 minutes turned into nearly 1.5 hours. Very conversational and fun.

Also, the ethical questions are pretty easy, just know how to explain your stance in a professional manner.

I submitted my application mid october... really hoping for an interview here as I'm from toledo... I'm thinking of applying to their MSBS program just in case.

Yea I was complete in September and I'm from Toledo as well. They have a pretty good rate of acceptance from their MSBS programs. I was considering that option too.

Not sure. Hopefully for acceptances since so many people here haven't heard much. Also what were your stats?

On a side note, they do take updates. I sent one on the 22nd and got an interview invite yesterday (26th). Maybe it helped, maybe it didnt.
 
For those who asked, I am instate, 31Q MCAT, c3.65, and s3.45. Submitted 8/9
 
My husband just got an II today (03/06).

37S MCAT/3.5 cGPA and 3.9 sGPA OOS (we live in Alberta, but he's a US citizen and did undergrad in the States).

He did contact them last week to pester the admin office about not hearing anything for so long. So, if you really want to go to Toledo, maybe drop them a line?
 
I emailed them today and just got resent the same email advertising their master's programs. I doubt it will make any impact on their decisions.

Have any updates you can send them? A doc (UT alum) I work for sent in an updated letter for me, and I pretty quickly got an II. They can't have many invites left, so get on it!
 
Okay, I completely take back what I said yesterday. Got an ii today- so if you want one, email them an update!

I agree I sent an email requesting an update about my status over the weekend and received an interview invite this morning. Definitely email them if you're really interested in the school and want to interview.
