Congrats! Just got an interview invite this afternoon after emailing them an update, so it definitely does help! 🙂
 
For those of you accepted, what were your stats/EC's?

Got accepted yesterday. I interviewed first week of February. I am out of state with average stats. Toledo had the smallest number of interviewees of all the schools that I interviewed at.

How many people were there?
 
For those of you who sent updates and quickly received interview invitations, are you IS or OOS?
 
My stats are in my MDApp thingy, but I am in state (OSU). I was also lacking on ecs but was able to get volunteering in and shadowing this past year. I have no research experience. I think there were 10 of us during my interview day. Everything was very laid back.

There were 10-12 of us at the interview (Don't actually remember the number) . Most schools I interviewed at had 60-70 students interviewing on one day. I stayed with a student host the night before and it was really helpful for the interview. He was also one of the tour guides during the interview day. Take advantage of the student host program if you cannot afford a hotel. One thing I like about UT is that all the schools are connected. The pharmacy school, medical school, graduate school, Nursing etc and the hospitals are all connected.

Finally got through to the admissions office today. Seems like they have been getting a lot of calls. Other than that I wasn't able to get much info out of the secretary who sounded like she had had a long day. I sent a letter of update last week but not a peep since then. Hoping for the best as this is probably my only shot.
 
any idea where they are in terms of what files have been reviewed post-interview?
 
Interview invite 2days ago, super psyched! After being waitlisted with my other schools, this will be my last hope.

I wish this thread is more alive, lol. Any advice for my interview? Do they throw out difficult questions? Did they refer back to the secondary essays?

Also, they still have spots left in their class? It would be such a disappointment if I am interviewing for the waitlist, although I still attend the interview & give it my all, lol.
 
I keep trying to call the admissions office but have gotten voice mail for the past 4 days and haven't gotten a return cal for the message I left. I need to accept my interview so I don't lose my spot. What am I supposed to do?

Agreed. I called, left message, and then emailed. She replied back within 24hrs.
 
Since so many of you had success sending an email to receive an interview, would it help to send an email if I'm waitlisted?

I interviewed a while back and received the alternate list email two weeks later. That was faster than I expected. I still wonder if it was meant to be a rejection email but sent by mistake. One of my interviews was awful and the other was awesome. Maybe that interviewer recommended to toss out my application immediately, but the other interview balanced it. The email said it was not necessary to send any additional information, but didn't say they won't accept anything.

Any suggestions for me?

I didn't email or call and I got one. I don't think it had to do with the calls as much as it did with the fact that they are sending out the next round of interviews now.

Received an invite two weeks ago. Flying out there to interview on Monday.

It seems everyone in this thread is pretty excited about the school. However, Im sure there were concerns. People who interviewed, or are familiar with UT, what are some of your concerns with the program here?

It looks like a beautiful place, and international programs are always an exciting prospect.

I'm OOS. I interviewed this past monday and was very impressed by the campus and facilities. Can't wait to hear back.
 
Accepted back on 3/14!!! Does anyone know if there is a facebook group or anything up for admitted students?
 
I interviewed recently, and I think I was most impressed by the friendliness of everyone I encountered, and the honesty of the faculty. They were not afraid to tell you the weak points of the school and seemed dedicated to the students.

Too bad I still have to wait another month to get my alternate list/ rejection notice.

Just had my interview. I am astounded with the student body. It seems like the group really cares about learning and community building. Everyone was exceptionally nice and even students not associated with the tour were welcoming and friendly.

I had three interviews, two of which were geared towards MD/PhD, and it really came through that the faculty are really invested in their students education.

Cost and location are still a concern but I'll determine their significance pending my application status.

I know the committee meets on Tuesdays but what day do students get their decisions?
 
Does anyone know if interviews are still being offered?
 
Alternate list- interviewed not even two weeks ago. I'm so sick of being waitlisted. Why am I just not good enough for any school?

Wait...are they only interviewing for waitlist spots now or do they still have openings?
 
Husband just got wait listed. We did not expect that. He felt the interview went really well, one professor totally gushed about his MCAT score even.

So, so, very discouraged today. Only one school left and it is the one that is probably hardest to get into. 🙁

Sorry to hear that. I was also waitlisted after expecting an acceptance but you never know. Keep your head up, this admissions thing is too unpredictable to mull over for too long. Best of luck to you and your husband 🙂 :luck:
 
You're not alone! I was just waitlisted today also. Three waiting list spots and no acceptances yet, so frustrating. I think this process is just beyond human comprehension...
 
Accepted today!

Interviewed MD/PhD 3/25 (not sure if this acceptance means both).
 
Has anyone who interviewed on 3/28 heard anything yet?
 
I interviewed March 18th, hoping I hear back this week. They said to expect to hear back in three weeks.
 
Hey all, just got an acceptance email (MY FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) about 20 minutes ago. Instate, interviewed in early January and was alternate listed. Just FYI 🙂 Best of luck to all of you!
 
Congrats!! I thought their committee meetings were tonight though and we'd hear back tomorrow or Thursday..

Yeah, not sure. Maybe its because I interviewed a long time ago and I guess they are re-reviewing some of those applications that were put on hold. Best of luck to anyone waiting, praying for you guys 👍
 
Has anyone other than rocknrholim heard back this week?
