UVM tend to get a lot of activity after that date. Numerous classmate received acceptance after the 5/15 date, with some as late as July. Remember to continue expressing interest, the admission office is very receptive to it. Even if you do not hear response at first, it is being noted. I written numerous letters and calls before being taken off the WL.

So is it likely there won't be any movement off the WL until that date?
 
I think there will be SOME movement on the WL before 5/15 but not too much. Majority of it occurs after. Hang in there guys! For those that are coming to second look this weekend, I look forward to meeting y'all.

I don't think so, just signed up through that page from the email. Do you think we'll be getting a schedule?
 
Can people going to second look update us when they get back? I wish I could go but I can't get away from school right now.
 
did anyone get accepted following the march or april meetings or do all those that got reviewed then have to wait till may 15th?
 
It was hard to do but withdrew acceptance today. OOS. I hope one of you guys gets it! :luck:

Had average stats, I think my interview went well I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.

Congrats guys! Glad to see some waitlist movement, hopefully these are just the first of many acceptances for the waitlisters on this thread...

Accepted yesterday, as well!!! OOS Non-trad / post-bacc. 32 MCAT 3.9 GPA. 5 years clinical & research experience. I interviewed in January.

For those who haven't yet received good news, hang in there and stay positive...there's likely to be lots more WL movement to come in the weeks ahead. :luck:

I loved the school and had a great stay in Burlington, but I will be withdrawing my application. Good luck to the OOS student who gets this spot! UVM is a great school!

Does anyone know how frequently the committee meets after the 15th or when the next meeting is? I'm assuming once the class is full they only meet if needed.
 
I called the office a little bit ago to gather some info since it's May 15th. Liz answered and said that there have been people who have withdrawn their acceptances, so they definitely plan on sending out more offers of acceptances soon. She didn't say how many they plan to give or when we can expect these offers to go out. I also asked about how they determine who gets off the WL if it's unranked, and she said that the adcom meets and all of the applications are re-reviewed. Then they start picking people to be accepted. So I guess its not up to the discretion of a single person like we thought? She also said that the adcom will be meeting about once a week at this point in the cycle, but she doesn't know when they'll be meeting next.

Ahh, I'm really hoping for an acceptance here. Good luck everyone! :luck: The real waiting starts now.

did everyone else just get a "Waitlist Season Update" e-mail and almost have a heart attack?

It just says they want to give us details about the waitlist and remaining season now that it's past May 15th:
- if you don't want to be on the WL anymore, contact them and let them know.
- WL season is open until orientation.
- let them know of any changes in your contact information (email and cellphone)

Then at the end, it pretty much says whats on the Online Applicant Center: that they can't predict movement, and that when WL season has closed, you'll be notified via OAC.
 
It was basically a repeat of the information on the online applicant center, except that they added that if you are not interested in staying on the waitlist to email them so they can remove you from it

Withdrew my acceptance. Overall the cost for OOS was the deal breaker. Best of luck to those on the waitlist!
