Did anyone need to request a letter from their undergrad registrar or dean to attest they were in good academic standing? The secondary says I'll need to if this wasn't mentioned in the committee letter prepared by my post-bac advisor (I'm not sure yet if it was). Does it just get sent and uploaded to AMCAS?

I did. I got an e-mail from the admissions office after I submitted saying that I need a Dean's Certification from my undergrad before I can be marked as complete. I knew I was going to need one from reading last year's thread and so asked my undergrad in June, but they didn't want to start the process until a med school actually sent me a request. Now it's going to take them a few weeks, ugh.

I'm just having them send it to AMCAS as if it were a letter of rec.

When it asks if we took any online courses, is that also referring to classes we took online at our college? Or specifically at an online university?

Because by just looking at my transcript, there's no way you can tell if I took that course online. Not that I care mentioning it. Just curious.

If you attended an online university you'd be required to provide a transcript, so they'll know it was offered by your university.

Submitted secondary today. We'll see how it goes. I'm not expecting much to be honest, but you never know.

II today! Complete 7/19 (people who were complete after me received invites before me, so definitely don't stress if you've been complete for awhile and haven't heard anything)

IS/32T/cGPA 3.77/sGPA 3.57/ non-traditional(ish- I graduated 3 years ago).

Good luck to everyone at all stages of this (can't really think of an adequate adjective) process!

I called them and they are pretty adamant about the letter requirement. It's a no go for me I guess.

Any idea if they make exceptions for nontrads? I have one science prof letter and it would be impossible to get any other meaningful prof lors. I do have one from my PI at my research job and current volunteering.

Are these requirements for the "no committee letter" option?

If I have an interview here, do you think it's too early in the cycle to send "in the area" emails to other NYC schools?

They won't "officially" make an exception, but I talked with a lady there who said she would forward my LOR explanation/justification to the admissions committee. She marked me as complete and it looks like my application was at least forwarded for review...

This may be a really stupid question but here we go...

I got my II yesterday and am looking to set up my interview date. On their website it says they do not run interviews on Thursdays, or on the weekends. Does this mean that they hold interviews on Fridays? Or is that considered part of the "weekend" as well?

Yeah, they interview on Fridays. I interviewed here last cycle on a Friday.

How do you guys know your complete dates if there is not a status page (just want to be sure I am not missing anything)?

You receive an email telling you that you are complete. I think it is right after you submit the secondary.

Espadaleader, when were you complete? thanks so much!

Is this the "You have successfully completed the Secondary Application" email? Or something else?

Yup. The email was headed " EINSTEIN - COMPLETED APPLICATION" for me. Good luck! :luck:

Hmm...never got that email and I submitted on 7/31. Anyone else having this problem?

I had the same problem, and I emailed them and was told that my file was complete but they forgot to email me the complete email

Ah! Thank you! I will check in with them.

II this morning, from the email it seems you let them know your availability, so that's definitely nice. 🙂 definitely feeling the new York love!!!

i just applied to this school yesterday, is that a bit late? how long is the turn around to receive a secondary?

also, are the prompts the same as last year? and same 100 word limit?

I don't believe there are any essays, but I had to talk about my gap year and explains W's.

where can we check the status of our application? i just submitted it

and Einstein wants only 2 letters but my AMCAS letter packet has 5 plus i sent an additional from my research advisor. I didn't see any where in the application to specify which 2 letters I wanted them to read, or will they just read all of them?

I think you will be fine... I submitted mine with 5 individual letters to their school and I received an interview. Not sure if they actually read through them all or just pick two but it does not seem to hinder your application.

Hey guys,

Is there a separate complete email (confirming letters received) we should wait for after receiving the "You have successfully completed the secondary" email? Got that email on 8/8 and no communication from them since then.

Yes, I got the complete email 2 days after I got the submission email.

It says :"We are happy to inform you that your application to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is complete, and will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee."

Im applying as an international student and it says I need to upload my passport to my secondary. I accidentally uploaded a wrong picture but not I can no longer get to the page where it allows me to upload the file. I cant find it anywhere! Any other students experienced the same thing or know how to fix it?!!? thanks!!!!!

Another questions! I have completed my Bsc 3 years ago from New Zealand and last year I completed more undergraduate courses at Ohio State University as a non degree student inorder to be eligible to apply to einstein. On the secondary application, it asks whether I am a non post bac student or a post bac student. Which one am i?

Im not enrolled in a post bac premed program or anything Im just taking courses for credit at OSU but I have also graduated from my Bsc already.... any advice would be appreciated!

hey guys

how long did it take for you to be complete after submitting application? submitted about 1 week ago (letters and everything in as well) but still not complete =(

Took about a day for me to receive a complete email. If you are positive all your application bits have been submitted, I'd call the admission office.

hmm I submitted 8/15. when i log on the secondary link it says my app was submitted, but haven't received a complete email yet i do not believe. is there a status page somewhere we can look to see if we've been marked complete?

Apparently, there is no status page. You will receive an email when you secondary is complete.

so has everyone received a complete email within a day or 2? i submitted thursday and didn't get anything thursday or friday. If i don't get anything today should i email/call tomorrow?
