Can anyone shed some light on where to get the body composition test done? I'm a little confused since DoDMERB said I'm medically qualified, but Ms. Ramseur told me I still need to get taped for my body composition. Thanks!

Just interviewed last week and fell in love with the school! Anybody have a clue about how long of a wait it will be before we hear back about the waitlist?
Interviewed 12/12 and still waiting on a waitlist letter. Did they specify which tier you were on in the letter? I know we are able to find out but wasn't sure if this came along with the letter or at a later date.
Nope, checking my mail every day and still no word. I'm sure I'm over-analyzing, but maybe the weather in the DC area has affected USUHS AdCom meetings. Either way, really hoping to hear back within the next week. Also interviewed on 12/12... Heard anything yet?

Same... :/
I really want to apply here next cycle, you guys mind telling me what I should get on MCAT with these other qualities I have?
1. UF junior, major= psychology with cognitive and behavioral neuroscience. cGPA= 3.48, sGPA=3.31
2. Over 250 hours (3 years) of elementary school volunteering, where I head the program between my school an the elementary school
3. Over 200 hours of shadowing pediatrician; 6 weeks of 8-530 days mostly
4. 5 LOR's, 1 personal, 1 clinical, 2 professors, 1 volunteer coordinator
5. Involved in AMSA, was involved in an Acapella group as a baritone on campus for 2 years, took a break for MCAT but rejoining next year
The average MCAT for those accepted is 31, so a score above that will obviously make you more competitive.
Early February interviewer here... just twiddlin' my thumbs hoping for good news in the next couple weeks.Has anyone heard anything recently? I think they were closed yesterday with the snow storm
Just curiously, has anybody sent in a letter of intent to the school?
Seems in years past, things start moving along 3/15.
Where did you send it to? Was it a letter to the admissions committee or just an email to your admissions liason?I have sent one in. Seems in years past, things start moving along 3/15.
Yes, there is typically a lot of wait list movement after that date as people have to commit to one acceptance.

I thought that that was sometime in May.
I'm on the waitlist and I didn't receive a call either 🙁 hopefully that's not a terrible thing. I did get the e-mail about the second look day for accepted and waitlisted students, so I'm hoping that's good news?
March 28thWhen is the second look day? Thanks!

I also sent it to my admissions liaison and addressed it to the admissions committee. It seems to have helped; I got moved from 'hold' status to the waitlist this morning. Best of luck!

So I've read that 600 people get interviewed and 300 acceptances are eventually offered. Also, I've heard from rumors that almost everyone off the waitlist is accepted eventually.
Does that mean that of the interviewees, 300 are rejected right off the bat? And the rest are either waitlisted/accepted? Just wondering because in last year's thread, almost no interviewee reported being rejected outright after the interview.
Has anyone on here contacted Dr Saguil asking where you stood on the wait list? I want to know ASAP but don't want to be too impatient or seem pushy.
Also, if I'm not yet cleared by the security office, will this affect my movement from the WL?
Any late Jan/Feb interviewers hear anything?
I thought you weren't checked by security unless you were accepted? I could be totally wrong though, hahaHow do you find out if you're cleared by the security office? I thought they did that during the interview when they had us go downstairs?
Not sure about wait list info... I'm in the early Feb group waiting to hear back about whether we are on the waitlist...
Are you going to the Second Look Day? I'm thinking of asking the admissions office then instead of callingHas anyone on here contacted Dr Saguil asking where you stood on the wait list? I want to know ASAP but don't want to be too impatient or seem pushy.

Second look is for those that have been offered a spot or have been waitlisted. If you have not been waitlisted or offered a spot you wouldn't have received an invite. I noticed you posted earlier this week that you have just moved onto the waitlist. The invites went out last month and had to be RSVP'd to by March 7th. Don't worry about the second look. They say no one in the admissions committee is notified about who attends and that it does not affect your admission status in any way. That'd be a good alternative to emailing, but I haven't received any information regarding the Second Look Day. When is it?
My personal opinion is that this second look day is really for those holding acceptances to USUHS and at other schools. They're trying to convince those with multiple acceptances to pick USUHS rather than the other school they are currently holding an acceptance at. I am waitlisted and was sent the second look invite. What is a second look going to do... convince me to stay waitlisted? That's just my opinion about the second look day.
I also think the second look is primarily for those holding multiple acceptances, but I find it really encouraging for us on the wait list! Maybe I'm too hopeful, but I think if USUHS is your top choice and you're on the wait list, it's not a bad decision to have RSVPed for second look since they said they basically went through the entire priority wait list last year and expect it to be similar this year (especially for AF and Army). It'll be a great way to meet people and, if you're accepted, decide whether you really want to go there. Or it can convince those with multiple acceptances/priority wait list spots to give their spots to people who really do want to go there and help get that wait list moving 🙂
