Well, I can't say that...I just know that some changes are anticipated and was wondering what they'e been telling students about it. The good thing they are bringing a neurosurgeon from Hopkins as a new dean.

Yea...I only read about what you're mentioning in the paper. Maybe it's not as big of a change for the students as it is for the administration. I can say that their curriculum is pretty modernized (i.e. a systems approach).

It didn't show up on my interview invitation email and step 3 of the website doesn't give much information on how to go about getting a host. Does anyone know what/where I should do to get one?

you will get an email with the photo requirements and overview of the interview day PDF attachments. The student host information is in the overview document

I don't know about the host program, but I stayed at the courtyard marriott nearby and it literally 200feet from the interview and it was awesome. only $100 a night. It's might be a good contingency plan

Thanks, if I can't get a host, I'll probably just stay with the family nearby. Need to save as much money as I can

I'm sorry - I hear ya. I got UCSD's right before I got this one. Keep positive thoughts that you'll get accepted elsewhere and fall in love with that school!

Also, what's even more annoying is that when I went on the portal to see if anything had changed, I had a message that was created 1/5/2014 (twenty days ago!) with the rejection.
(The message only appeared today).

If they don't specify that they can't provide reasons why you were rejected, I don't see any problem with calling to ask.

Interview dates at UCD go into March and since people accepted elsewhere tend to cancel and decline interviews late in the season, there is still a chance.

It seems there's a recurring theme with the UCs rejecting applicants from their alma maters. I've also gotten over the rejection from my school, hope to add falling in love with another school to that as well 😀

I was waitlisted for interview in November, and still haven't heard of anything from them. I hope they still send out II after today!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but everyone who haven't received II have been rejected. The only people that haven't been rejected are people who were placed on "interview hold". Is this correct?
