Okay I somehow fumbled around and managed to upload a photo and it even shows up in the submitted application page! LOL. I just hope they didn't catch that little mishap 😛
 
Haha, same here - glad you figured out how to do the photo. I didn't catch it until I tried to check my status about 1 week after submission. They sent me a "app successfully submitted" kind of email after submitting without the photo, so I didn't even realize I needed the photo. Uploaded one, three days later got a true complete app email. Ooops

Dang, I hope we didn't get delayed because of the photo issue!

Is there another email to indicate that you're complete besides the one that says "You have successfully completed the secondary application. Thank you for your interest in Albert Einstein College of Medicine."?

yes, you will receive an email that says: "We are happy to inform you that your application to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is complete, and will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee".

It takes awhile though (I didn't receive mine until about 3 weeks after I submitted, and when I submitted they already had my LORs and everything)
 
II!! Timeline:Amcas complete 7/17, Received Secondary 7/8, Submitted Secondary 7/21, II 8/27 at 8:18am
Signed up for the interview on 11/10 which was the first available date (signed up at 11am on 8/27)
BUT, I did not receive an email confirming the interview. And, the interview page says that you do not have an interview date until you get the email confirmation. I called Einstein and they told me to call tomorrow but were nice about it. I think they hire nice people for admissions work since there are a lot of frazzled nerves calling them.
Did this happen to anyone else?

I believe they're using a new system and they told me it might be a little whacky. They'll get back to you quickly if you email/call them! They probably want you to wait until tomorrow to see if it's just delayed.

At this point they are scheduling into November so I doubt that makes a difference. FWIW I received an II about a month ago and I'm OOS.
 
Anyone only just now got a complete email? I submitted my secondary on 8/5... A month later I get an acknowledgement of receipt.

High five Einstein. High five.
 
Current MS1 at Einstein, if anyone has any specific questions about the interview or the school itself, I'd be happy to answer to the best of my knowledge. I'll be one of the students on the interview tours/lunches, so I may get to meet some of you 🙂

I'm interviewing in October. How stressed is the interview? Are there standard questions interviewers follow? Is it two 1 on 1 30 interviews? Thanks for your help !

A lot of this depends on which interviewer you get, but I have yet to hear of someone who didn't have a chilled out interview. My interviewer asked a lot of the standard interview questions, but was very friendly and set a comfortable tone for the interview.
I don't believe there was a specific list of questions the interviewer had to ask like some other schools do, if that's what you're referring to. He just happened to ask the usual questions (why medicine, etc.).
You only have one interview and it's usually about 45 minutes long, but they also give you the option to request a second interview on the same day.
Advice: come up with a few specific points unique to Einstein which draws you to it, and also check out sdn interview feedback. Good things to do for every school you interview at.
 
I just wanted to mention that if you signed up for an interview and didn't receive a confirmation email, please check your spam.

I recently signed up for an interview and didn't see the confirmation email so I started to worry, but then I saw that it was somehow sent to my spam by Gmail.
 
I submitted the secondary on 8/1 and my recs were all submitted in July, but I'm still waiting for a complete email 5 weeks later...is this normal? Mildly freaking out

Totally normal. My app was just complete a few days ago and I submitted my secondary right around the beginning of August. Your complete e-mail should be on its way!
 
Ditto, bubbletea. I submitted 7/30 and got my complete yesterday 9/5

Good luck! I'm pretty sure that September 8th is the first day of the interview season this year - so yep, you're the guinea pig ;p
 
Got the "under review" email 8/11. Have they reviewed for that date yet or is there still hope?
 
got an email from einstein this morning...heart skipped a beat...but it was only the complete email

II this week, complete 8/8 after submission in mid July. Earliest day available was 11/10 I think?
 
II this afternoon! Scheduled it on 12/8 so I have time to figure my life out. I think the earliest date they had was 11/18. Submitted secondary on 7/24!
 
its just your email address and whatever password you made to access the secondary. Also the confirmation went straight to spam to others who were looking for it!

When were you complete, if you don't mind?
 
Does anyone know if Einstein has a student host program? I haven't been able to find anything on their site besides this: "If you opt to spend the night in a hotel rather than with a student, the closest hotel..."

Yes they do!
To help familiarize applicants with the Einstein environment and student body and to help defray costs, applicants who would prefer to stay at Einstein the night before their interview are invited to request overnight housing with an Einstein student. Such requests should be made to the admissions office when scheduling your interview by e-mailing [email protected].
 
So its taking a month or so to get complete emails? Has anyone from mid-August gotten a complete yet?
