thats possible...
but it looks like a lot of us are WL. Didn't the dean say that they only waitlist a few and that he keeps this stack on his desk?

It's possible they are just waitlisting everyone due to the accelerated timeline this year, and will do rejections next month as they have done in previous years.
 
While cookiemonsters' theory is somewhat plausible, it is directly against what the waitlist email says. They explicitly claim that most wait list decisions will happen between June 1st and July 31st, so I don't think that everybody got waitlisted. Maybe they just have not sent out the rejections yet?

Why do people do this? Serious question. Sucks for the person on the WL now that should have gotten in and actually had intentions of at least considering BU as a real option. Congrats to all the ppl that got in otherwise, great school IMO.

Told ya so! Now, who wagered their first-born child to me? I was wait-listed today and I'll be withdrawing. Due to the emotional trauma I sustained this winter in Boston, there is no way I can deal with a WL. Good luck to you all!

Absolutely. That is a total d move. If you are legit 100% not interested in attending then withdraw immediately.

At my interview day, they said the wait list has basically not moved the last few years because the matriculation rate was higher than anticipated. As a result, this year they were planning on giving fewer initial acceptances so that they class does not over enroll and so they may be able to draw off the wait list this year. Good luck to all waitlisted.

If you would actually come to BU, then it’s time to submit a sincere letter of interest.

Congratulations to those accepted! I hope to join you guys and girls in June, but we will see. Good Luck to everyone else!! I think I am going to give up SDN and commit to not checking back at least until this final semester is over ... (Unwatch thread)
