so nervous! BU is a stretch for me so positive thoughts can only take me so far...

That's ok, not everyone gets a call - you may find some good news on the portal or via email. Keep your fingers crossed and good luck!

Do they usually call in the morning? it's already 3:23 >.<
I've searched the forum and my interviewer gave out acceptance calls in January. I'm scared...

so far only two acceptances from phone calls that we know about from SDN. I don't think we can view silence as a bad thing yet.

Not sure when they decide to make calls, but if they are busy they will most likely wait or even just not do it.

I think it just depends on when your interviewer gets the chance. I was accepted in the first wave and, if I remember correctly, my interviewer called me at 6 or 7 at night.

I keep checking my email but all I got was a rejection letter from Tufts.

The last time I was this nervous, I was waiting for my MCAT scores...

The same exact thing just happened to me. I have been refreshing my email all day and suddenly I get a new email....Tufts rejection. This process sure tests your endurance.

it really does... my friend just went through the law school app process... she sent in her apps near the deadline (which was around December I believe) and has already gotten into 7 schools (is at an orientation today at Berkeley) ...
she cant believe the process we go through... and they don't even need to interview!

I know, when I tell people that interviewed for medical schools as early as September but I am still waiting to get news, they are shocked. Oh well, I guess we knew what we were getting ourselves into. Here's to good news from BU!

No one's said anything about acceptance emails yet, I believe. I don't think all the interviewers are gonna do phone calls, so maybe we'll see some acceptance emails tomorrow? *fingers crossed*

Don't tap out just yet, people have gotten emails as late as 4:59 PM EST, albeit on a Friday.

As I read your response I received an email about a random work thing and had a heart attack lol. But that's good to know, thanks :)

I don't know if this information helps or just adds to the tension, but when I was accepted in January, I didn't receive a call but I got the email on a Friday night at around 10PM.

It seems that the process now is mirroring what happened back in January. A few people got phone calls/emails on Thursday, the 8th from there interviewers. Other people got calls/emails throughout the day on Friday, the 9th from their interviewers. Then finally after 9:00 pm EST on Friday, the 9th, official acceptance emails went out. I know of people like @oncemagic that were never contacted prior to the official acceptance, so just a little bit more patience might be needed until those official notices go out.

Exactly what Jeff_Steve said! Some got calls/emails yesterday, some today, but not every interviewer does this. official emails will likely go out before the weekend so you'll all know soon enough :)
 
the next 24 hours should be interesting... good luck to everyone! we all know just how difficult getting into this school is, 1 out of 4 students who applied to medical school this year, chose BU as one of their schools on the AMCAS. Just getting an interview is a huge accomplishment on itself. I'm a big believer that everything happens for a reason, and we've all worked really hard to get where we are. Best of luck to everyone !

Though I did freak out a little when the BUSM Application Unavailable email just came in

Just got an email from them that the secondary web site will be down on Saturday night. :nailbiting:

Would they though? It goes down at 11pm on Saturday, so I would think we'd hear first no?

Probably not, the email and the warnings about the outage have been all over their web site, including a notice that it will not affect our applications. It was just a rush seeing an email from BU today of all days. :)
 
Also, I remember getting a similar email (except I think it was scheduled maintenance) when they sent out January acceptances. Those did not seem to be affected, so hopefully emails will still go out tonight

Yes!! I didn't receive any email notification. Just randomly checked it and it said 'congratulations' where the 'interview complete' sign use to be.

Edit: Just received the email notification. I must've been 3 minutes early.

Yes, they are on the portal, at least mine is... Waitlist, ugh.
