Congrats everyone! I realized I never updated Columbia with my new phone number! For my acceptance at Vanderbilt, they kept calling my old number (and reaching someone who wasn't me! 😵 ) until they emailed me to ask if my number had changed.

Is it too late to book my holiday inn express reservation? Will a nap do the trick?

Calls have only been going out for ~2 hours so I think giving up hope now is a bit too early 👍
I'm right there with you though with my phone attached to my hand on super loud vibrate mode!

Can any accepted students comment on when they interviewed/who they interviewed with?

I may have a heart attack...hard to smile and continue to look professional at work
 
Ironically, if this had taken place tomorrow, I would have been in a mindfulness class during it all.

I guess I'll get more out of the class tomorrow.

Congratulations to everyone accepted! I have friends here that absolutely LOVE their experience at columbia! They say the work hard/play hard mentality is a great way to get through medical school and pretty much everyone in the school lives by this motto.

So since I had time I looked back at last year's thread and there were over 20 SDN folks accepted via phone call. So assuming the numbers are about the same there should be more calls coming! Maybe after business hours or early tomorrow morning? Haha... Stressful!
 
Lol my interview here was so bad I knew I didn't make the cut before I left the room. I considered anxiously awaiting a call but it's really no use.

lol.. you're welcome. I never thought I would be this crazy about it, but I just want to know!

Dr Puchner called me and he was my interviewer as well I was getting ready to post! Good luck to everyone still waiting I'm sure there are more calls to come!!!!

Dr. Schullinger was my interviewer.
 
New rule SDN community: If you get Accepted, don't just leave it at that. Also include who interviewed you so that the rest of us can wallow in self-deprecation that much more. Thanks!
 
I went back and put together a list of interviewers and how many calls have been reported. If people could add to this list, it might make it easier for those of us who are trying to see if our interviewer has already done their duty.

Some thoughts:
First, anyone get a call from Dean Nicholas? (He interviewed me).

Second, I am actually really surprised that they are already giving out calls. The last day of interviews and today are just basically 8 days apart! I wonder if they can really review 1200+ interviewees (that's how many Dean Nicholas said they had) within 8 days. They say they have true non-rolling admissions, but I wonder if they don't make some decisions along the way.

I was wondering something similar. Also the folks who heard today- were you interviewed early on in the season? Maybe those come out in some sort of chronological order... haha trying to bring reason to the black box
 
Dr. Ehlert interviewed and called me, interviewed mid November, sent thank you to interviewer, got a "personalized" response from the dean, sent LOI mid January, LizzyM ~77

I interviewed October 1st. It was my first interview.
