This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
16 MD and 4 DO. My wallet is practically on fire.
wow thats crazy haha. way ahead of me! ive only done 6 MD and 4 DO so far....gotta pick up the pace

You guys are my favorites! Keep the support coming!! 11 done, 11 to go!

Can you imagine how good it's going to feel when we are done with all of them?! For me, I can come home from work and actually relax which has been unheard of the past several weeks.

Haha nice work everyone! I've done 8 MD and 3 DO, with 6 more to go that I've received, and 9 more to receive (including Drexel).

I'm at 17 received and submitted so far too, waiting on 8 more for a total of 25

does anyone no if drexel consider those that apply for the medical school for their postbacc program, if they dont get into the program?

17 of 17?? im on 8 for 10 received 🙁

Does anyone know if 3 LORs is the max amount? (4 if you took a yr off in between college and med school?)

how many have you all completed so far
Completed 16 out of 22 I applied to. All submitted within 1-2 days of receipt except one that needed 4 days. Currently waiting for the other 6. No rejections pre or post secondary yet. No II's yet.

I haven't gotten any rejections either! So that's a plus haha 🙂 I wonder when rejections start going out. I think most probably silent-reject, but I haven't made a list or anything.

I heard U Chicago makes decisions fast, including rejections.

22 completed so far.

Completed 7, have 7 more to do so far. I'm writing them in batches and taking my time with the essays. No sense rushing this early in the game.

I don't mind I want to know when the secondary is out

It gets easier after you write a few essays, trust me. Your turnaround time will literally drop from a week to a few hours.
Yeah! It's starting to pick up. I'm starting to cut and paste old essays into new essays. It's just hard keeping everything straight so I let them sit a day or two before rereading, editing or need be, and submitting them.

Was wondering how late I am in the process if I'm still awaiting to submit my application to AMCAS? I'm waiting for two rec letters to be received as well, I don't want to submit the application if this one science professor forgot to write me the letter (i've emailed her and no reply twice now).

Also, my stats are on the lower end of applicants OOS (3.5 cGPA 3.2sGPA, first MCAT 25, retaking in september). I have about 100+ hours of volunteer work at an outpatient pharmacy in a hospital (and growing), 50+ hours of volunteer work at my parish, 8 hours of volunteer work for Alliance of the Great Lakes, and 5 hours of shadowing an ophthalmologist (the dr. really liked me and seems to be offering me a technician job this week).

On the whole what do some of you think about my application at face value?
You should probably post in "What Are My Chances" once instead of many times in school-specific threads.

Has anyone received the secondary? My AMCAS was verified on the 15th, but no secondary yet! 😵

Yeah, I'm definitely going to be working on secondaries on vacation but such is life. We're going into a field that requires dedication, odd hours, and putting others before yourself!

I'm thrilled I've made it this far in the cycle- it takes mad organizational and planning skills to get this application together!

Only school I have yet to hear from. Just confirmation that they have my application would be nice. I'd like to be done with secondaries before school starts.
