Submitted secondary on 7-12, and it says my LOR was received 6-29...but my app still has an exclamation mark next to LOR & so the "application file" is still not complete??? Is this happening to anyone else? Should I contact them?

ditto

How many letters are you guys submitting? Their website says that if you don't have a committee letter you should submit 2 (1 science, 1 non-science) but I'm wondering if its okay to submit more.
Anyone have insight on this?

I'm having the same issue. Have you been marked complete now?

Happened to me too and I submitted a few days ago. I am going to give it at least a week or two.

@Person0715 @DielsAlder Mine still is not "complete"....it's been over a week since I submitted secondary and a month since it says my LOR was received... According to last year though, the 1st II's didn't come out until Aug 21. So I'm not going to worry about it until beginning of August. Keep us posted if one of y'all decide to call them though please! 🙂

When you guys view your secondary on the submit page, is essay one cut off for you? It's cut off for me for some reason...! Last sentence is half there.

My letters were assigned nearly a week ago and they still haven't been received 🙁 Same thing has happened with Pritzker and NYU. All other schools are receiving them just fine... don't know what's going on.

@invissideways Are you sure you're under the word limit? I believe the 200/250 limits include spaces and new paragraphs. It doesn't show up as cut off on mine.

@Temerit In the same boat...it says they're received on the right hand for me but the exclamation mark under "application status" is still there... I submitted 7/12, reference received 6/19...

@Tom Ford Yep. It says I had two words left. Tried to call admissions today and apparently they only accept calls regarding applications MW 2-4 PM. Sent an email and hopefully I hear back from them! Would love to come here for med school.

I'm applying to a couple of med schools this year, and I really want to apply to MSSM, but I fear it's a "way out of my reach" school. I'm a bit of a non-trad, so I'm concerned about the LOR requirements. I graduated from undergrad in 2010. I completed a master's degree in 2012, and was planning on submitting my science faculty LOR from there, but I have no idea of what to do for a non-science faculty LOR, since it's been more than 4 years that I graduated from my BS, and I don't have any non-science faculty LORs from grad school. Anyone know what I can do in this case? Also, just time-wise, would I still have a chance at being considered if I submitted my secondary in mid-August? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Mid-August is perfectly fine. I would call them and check. Perhaps you can get a letter from an employer or a dean of some sort?

My letters were finally marked as received and my application was complete as of this morning (Submitted them 2 weeks ago).

For the second supplemental question, do you guys think it is okay to talk about my challenge tutoring a student?

According to the portal, my letters were received on July 8th but they yet to be acknowledged as received (ie green checkmark). When do you think it would be appropriate to email them and ask about my LORs?

The "How did you learn about the program" response has no word/character limit for me. Is it like this for anyone else?

I haven't received a secondary yet, and my AMCAS was verified on 7/11. Should I be worried?

It seems to have no character limit. But idk if it will be cut off when we preview the app for submission or not..

complete feels nice
"Once we have received your required letters of recommendation and most recent MCAT scores you will receive an email to confirm your application file is complete."

Anyone receive such an email? I'm already complete on the port, but curious.

how long does it take for admissions offices to correspond by email usually if we email them? anyone email the office previously?

I forgot I posted on this thread lol. Anyway, I recently checked my status and I am complete. I do not know when it was marked as this though. They do not send application complete emails.

I actually got an application complete email the day I submitted my secondary. But I've seen many schools send emails to some and no emails to others. There doesn't seem to be a pattern.

Took them about a week to reply to me.

They have MW 2-4 PM EST set aside for application status calls so you could also give that a try!

Hmmm, interesting. Nothing in the spam folder, I had to check again but I luckily have the green checks on everything.

Did anyone else have trouble pasting their essays? It seems the word count meter does not matchc microsoft word's word count meter?

Anyone know when Sinai started sending out II's last year?

Did you receive word about this letter of reference thing? It also says mine was received but there is still an explanation on the status page...

Mine finally turned into a green check mark; don't know when though since I haven't been checking. Also didn't get an email about it

Are there significant gaps in time, greater than one year, that are unaccounted for in your application?

Does this refer to while in college as opposed to after graduation?

Yeah, I interpreted this as breaks while in college.

Thank you! And glad you understood I meant exclamation not explanation haha.

anyone having trouble logging into their secondary website? error 500? ah wanted to submit this morning

I had that error too but I just used a different browser. It has something to do with cookies I think.

Just wanted to update you guys on interviews this season!

First interview day will be 9/3, and Sinai interviews TWRF - good luck!

Since the first interview day is ~3 weeks away, some of you should see invites soon 🙂
