Do we think all of the acceptances are sent out at this point and everything left will be wait list vs. reject? Would seem to make sense based on the fact that some folks were kicked over to accept since the completion of the final ADCOM meeting...

Nope I don't. There are plenty of people who are still figuring out where they want to be and ohsu is just as deliberate. They take their time, but historically they have accepted people all the way up until they release the waitlist. I think we will see more tomorrow and Tuesday. I think (like a few others) that we may see the waitlist and rejects come out in the next few days also. Regardless they have not (in the past) done acceptances significantly early.

Accepted last week! Interviewed in March. I can't wait to meet everyone in August. I've been lurking in this thread since last summer like an insane person.

I just called the admissions office. they have already given out all of their acceptances, so for those that are still on hold, you should hear either waitlist (with your ranking) or rejection by April 30th.

Thanks for the update... i guess it was too much to hope for an acceptance but hope we hear those wait list numbers soon!
 
If you are rejected, do you still receive an email like you do with an acceptance, or is it only on the portal?
 
I just called OHSU since I have a deposit due at a master's program to secure my spot. She told me I look like I'll be most likely wait-listed but do not know where on the list I will be ranked. The deposit is not due till end of this month, at what number on the wait-list should I feel safe to forfeit the acceptance at the master's program? Or should I just be safe and just pay the deposit anyway? Any advise would be appreciated. 🙂

I'm in a similar position. I'm going to pay my deposit unless I'm in the top 15 on the waitlist. In last year's thread there was a chart with waitlist movement over the last several years. Waitlist movement varies from 20 in some years up to 90 in others. I'm not risking my spot in the other program, and I think 15 is conservative enough. My 2 cents...

Thanks for your advise. I might do the same. I had a hard time finding the graph, is there a way someone can post it here?
 
Here's a graph of the waitlist movement from the 2012-13 cycle thread. It doesn't show last year (2013-2014 cycle), but I remember in reading the thread that they got to about number 50.

In 2010, they only go to number 32.
In 2011, they got to number 106.
Those are the extremes from as far back as 2006.

I can't verify that this file is accurate.

Copied from the FB page: "Class will begin on August 10th at about 8AM. There will be about eight days of the course called "Transition to Medical School." The White Coat ceremony will be held on August 14th at the PSU Stott Center. There will be a class retreat the weekend of August 21st. The Fundamentals Block will begin on August 20th."
 
What time did the portal updates come out at today? I can't access it right now for some reason, but had no update when I looked around 9:30 AM this morning.

I hope you are right. 🙂I think waiting is the most difficult. Good Luck to everyone! Everyone worked very hard and deserves acceptance!
