I have a question about my current situation. I have been accepted to another medical school (Other Northeast Medical School) and will need to start searching for apartments in the next few months. I interviewed for Tufts Maine Track in November and was given a "deferred decision" in early December. I sent a letter of interest shortly thereafter. I would love to attend TUSM. My fear is that I will sign a lease for an apartment near Other Northeast Medical School, Tufts will swoop in with an acceptance during late spring or early summer, and I will be unable to attend (this is obviously a fantasy).
I have heard absolutely nothing from TUSM since receiving their decision letter. I understand that adcoms typically respond negatively to external pressure, but is it appropriate to make my situation known to them? According to SDN, I have survived the last few rejection rounds. I'm interested in finding out what's going on.
I need to add the caveat that I am perfectly happy to attend Other Northeast Medical School. I just want to know what's going on before I start doling out checks for living space.
