West-Southwest, and thanks!Congrats! What part of Arkansas do you live in?
Finally accepted, central Arkansas. Congrats to all. And to those who didn't make it, keep trying! This was my 4th year applying.
On a side note (early I know), it seems like tablets are not really recommended. To those already at UAMS, what did you use and do you recommend a tablet (with a keyboard) or laptop? Thanks!
M2 reporting in.
You must get a laptop. Not a tablet with a keyboard - a laptop. Your packet should have a list of requirements for computer specifications. If you have a smart phone, I don't think a tablet will be super beneficial for years 1 and 2 when you will always have access to your computer. They're nice if you use digital textbooks, but "required" textbooks aren't really required (except for Anatomy).
That being said, tablets are pretty sweet. Though I'm getting by just fine without one, I will probably get one for 3rd and 4th year.
Congrats on all your acceptances!
Any out of staters get get their mail yet/get anything from UAMS in their mail today?
Congradulations fellow Razorback. I know how much you were counting on this.Accepted today in Fayetteville!! Can't believe it! Can't wait to meet all my classmates I don't already know!

Thanks Bamfu. Also, white coats. I'm a female, and we have a choice between sizes 6-20 and 40-44. 40-44 is length yeah? Seems really long. Is there a place we can try the same brand on or anything?
Only got into PA schools
Is there a Facebook group or anything like that for our class made yet??

The current M1s will be making that group with Mrs. Dupuy. They try to invite people using the acceptance list, but you could probably search for UAMS COM of 2019 or something every now and then. It'll be a closed group (invite only, though you can request an invite). Also, she will probably wait until she gets most of her acceptance letters back from you guys.
But yeah, if you're not on facebook, I suggest you start using it. The class page is really helpful at the beginning (remembering to do things) and during the school year for sharing resources and stuff.
Thanks Bamfu! I, for some odd reason, thought accepted students made those groups. Good to know! I'll just patiently wait, then. 🙂

Waitlisted 🙁.
Does anyone have information regarding waitlist movement from previous years?
ISOOS or IS?
Thanks for the info! 20 makes me feel a little better about my chances.Last year there were 14 IS people that deferred. So at least 14 waitlist ppl got spots. This doesn't include people who turned down spots so possibly about 20 people from waitlist got it? That's my best estimate
A few good ones I know of are Clinton Elementary School and Sylvan Hills Elementary. The only thing is both are in Sherwood.I'm also going to be looking to get a house near a good elementary school if anyone recommends a particular area.
So, is it August yet?
Has anyone started looking at apartments or rental homes? Do current students have any recommendations on where to look or places to avoid? The apartments on the river by the big dam bridge caught my eye since it's right on the bike/running path and still only 2 miles from campus.
