I have not yet, I imagine that they will near the deadline.Did anyone get any sort of verification / response regarding requesting to stay on the waitlist?

No response eitherI have not yet, I imagine that they will near the deadline.
I agreeNo response here either and no change on the status page. Wondering if there has been any movement on the waitlist. But then the alternate list deadline was April 17th, still 10 days away and April 30th is a good 3 weeks+ away. The school may be waiting for April 17th to pass before sending offers to people on the alternate list.
Y'all accepted people should let the rest of us know how second look day goes!
Only have offered that many or currently have that many holding an acceptance? That's pretty low, and encouraging! They told us that they have only accepted the same number of students as the class size (~180) so there should be a lot of movement off the waitlist!

Agreed, I heard that there were 240-250 offers made. But even if there are currently 180 holding, I would expect at least the top 1/3rd waitlist to be utilized. Now if only 180 have been offered overall (and we know that 50-60% of offers end up matriculating), then those on the middle 1/3rd might be able to get their hopes up...I'm curious who told you this? I only ask because it contradicts what Vidal told me a few weeks ago.
I think this is right on the money. And I agree it's encouraging since there will almost certainly be more people that drop on April 30th. Let alone the people that are on waitlists at other schools.
First thanks so much MDhopeful2224; your report has provided those of us on the WL with renewed hope.Agreed, I heard that there were 240-250 offers made. I still think since
a) Dr. Zehnder is new she's probably playing it safe, plus AMCAS only requires schools accept class size by March 31.
b) When you look at other schools FB pages there are way more students than class size, whereas CO has considerably fewer
c) There was no acceptance wave in March, which Vidal said there would be at my interview but there wasn't
They probably just figured they only had to accept 184 by March 31st, and according to MDhopeful2224 that's what they did.
Yeah this sounds about right. The Facebook group is worthless for deciphering how many people are planning to attend for many reasons like the ones you have cited. Also, it would make sense that a very high % of attendees to 2nd look are planning to attend as the vast majority will be in state people. The only thing I would question is the number of people there. A friend of mine estimated 100. Perhaps this was an underestimate, but I would wager that 150 is a bit high.Actually at second look day the Facebook admins said that the # of members in the group isn't representative of the number of students accepted at all (plus after second look day 60+ members were added to the group). Many people have names on their facebook other than their own. I bet there were 150 students at second look day and probably 85% of them were "sure" they were going to Colorado. Many people who are sure didn't even go.
Also I met students that were accepted in March.
Ya once the OOSers realize they are locked in to a $90,000 COA for all 4 years, there will be at least some WL movement lol.Yeah this sounds about right. For those of us waiting I would try any forget about the numbers on the FB group or the speculation from 2nd look day. There WILL be solid waitlist movement, this has been reiterated again and again by the admissions staff, we just have to... Wait
My friend approximated 100 as well; plus, actually after second look day FB went from 98 -> 133, which is 35.Actually at second look day the Facebook admins said that the # of members in the group isn't representative of the number of students accepted at all (plus after second look day 60+ members were added to the group). I know it's not representative of #accetpances, but I think it is representative of the fact they had fewer initial acceptances (i.e. closer to class size ~180) than most other schools.
Hi Atj, would you be able to walk me through how you did it? I am logged in at ucdenver.edu/myUCDenver. Then there are 2 tabs "welcome" and "Grad info". I do not see anywhere for financial aid package... I am really confused...Yeah, I was able to see mine. When you register on the student portal, they should send you a username and password via e-mail. If you didn't get that, check your spam folder or look for a Help or IT link on the portal for assistance.

Has anyone on the waitlist asked or tried to submit updates or letters of intent? I had read that was pretty strictly not allowed but a friend of a friend that is a current MS1 was surprised today to find out that I have not been calling and sending letters so I just wanted to make sure.
I haven't heard anything via email or seen any change on the status page. Per last years board the status page should show a change eventually. I am guessing they are waiting for the 17th (today) to pass so they have a final waitlist before sending a confirmation or chafing status.Just to make sure, still nobody has gotten any confirmation they requested to remain on the waitlist? I guess we're just suppose to assume if we didn't hear from them, we'll remain on the WL?
Sounds good. I have high hopes for all of us - by this time next month we may have cause for celebration!I haven't heard anything via email or seen any change on the status page. I'm not sure the answer. But if you haven't already, you could submit your FAFSA. Then at least they'll have that. For those of you who haven't received an acceptance from CU yet, have you already created a login for the Prospective Student Portal for financial aid purposes? We are supposed to do that to check if CU needs any more information. Or are we going to receive an email from CU financial aid office if they need any more info?
I did submit the FAFSA. Per the material we received on interview day, after the FAFSA we should log into the prospective student portal to check if CU needs more info. I am wondering if we do that right away or wait for an email from the CU financial aid office inviting us to do so.I'm not sure the answer. But if you haven't already, you could submit your FAFSA. I like your thinking. If history is any indication, I have high hopes! Plus, I have good vibes that all top 1/3 will get in. Hardly scientific, but hey.Yeah I submitted my FAFSA too. Then I tried to log onto the prospective student portal but there was no option to create an account/login. I'm assuming therefore that we cannot do this until we obtain a login ID following our (hopefully forthcoming) acceptance.
Accepted! MSTP
Congrats! That's awesome. Do you mind saying if it was via phone or email? Congrats again!Thank you! I was waitlisted for the MSTP. I think it works differently in that the MSTP has a reserved X amount of spots in the med school class and as spots open in that subset of the entering class, acceptances go out.

Yes it does. For the people on WL, does everyone elses' portal still say "thank you for interviewing" mine's stayed like this forever.

LOL, same. Hopefully they're expeditious with WL action. We need to start a waitlist support group. I know I should be out doing something productive (like improving my application for next year), but it feels like all I can do is sit around and wait, hit refresh on my email and SDN, and stress eat.
I wouldn't get your hopes up lolLOL, same. Hopefully they're expeditious with WL action.
lol, quintessential oxymoron: CU admissions and expeditiousI wouldn't get your hopes up lol
