Maaaaaan it is taking forever to hear from this school. I submitted my application and payment on 8/19 and am yet to hear a thing or see any updates online!

IS applicant:
3.62cGPA undergrad
3.82sGPA
28MCAT (9P, 9V, 10B)

They say patience is of the essence. This is all a waiting game, but expecting nothing is the best strategy in my opinion. I'm just taking solace that I will get into this school (forever a Buff) whether it takes 1 cycle 2, 3, 10 even lol.

Be patient when it's out of your hands, but know you are in control of your destiny in the long run!

Those of you who got the acceptance call, how long did it take to receive the email and how much was the deposit to save your spot?

I got the email the next day. The $200 deposit is not due until May 1, 2015. There is some paperwork to return which is due within 2 weeks of receiving the offer.

Has anybody from the 10/31 interview group heard back yet?
 
Can anybody post the prompt/length to the Colorado Springs essay? I have to submit it separately with the campus preference form... 🙁

You should be able to access it by logging in to your secondary portal and clicking "my application" 🙂

Eh i cant because i checked the box "not interested" when i first submitted, and it wont let me see the essay unless a different box is checked.

Please submit a short statement (400 words or less) regarding your interest in the Colorado Springs Branch. You may address characteristics of the Branch that would be a fit for your strengths, experiences, and/or career plans. You may also note your ties to or interest in Colorado Springs or other similar communities.

For those people that are currently at the school, would you care to comment on what you found to be the strengths, weaknesses and most unique aspects of the program?
 
My other question is that, I am interested in psychiatry especially, what kind of opportunities are there for exploring that field at University of Colorado?
 
Anyone know the OOS acceptance rate? I know the matriculant data but was wondering how many interviewees they actually accept
 
I've been complete since 8/28 OOS (Bordering state) still haven't heard anything from CO but it seems I'm not the only one waiting.

CO is one of my top choices. I wish I could express that too them but I guess I'll just have to wait like everyone else. I'm debating sending a "Be in the area" email regarding me going there in December. anyone have any experience with those and CO

I sent an in the area email in mid October for a visit for the end of October. They replied and said I had been invited to interview and that I must not have received the email. So I lucked out in that I would not have found out about the interview had I not emailed. Worth a shot.

Same complete date and nothing from them as well. OOS with little connection to CO

Hearing about these missed II emails makes me really nervous lol I've been complete since 8/19 with no word either
 
yea hearing about the missed emails makes me nervous too but I checked the portal used for my sceondary and file still says complete - no new updates or anything
 
If it helps my portal updated with my interview invite about 1 week after I received it. So hopefully if you check it somewhat regularly you won't miss your chance!

Don't know about if others are trolling but my portal definitely doesn't say anything about my interview... Although i did recieve an email.

Nope not yet! This too is my top choice. You'll love Denver, I never want to leave lol!

I doubt you're waitlisted already. Most schools, like Illinois for example, stress that you are re reviewed at every meeting! My friend there was passed on in the first 2 rounds of acceptances and just received his acceptance last week!

Jealous of yall that got the call. Congrats. Were you all IS or OOS? Stats? Seemed like our group on 10/31 was mostly OOS.
 
I'm OOS, but I'm from a rural state without a med school that Colorado considers with similar weight to an in state student. LizzyM ~ 73

Same, from a WWAMI state as well, but my state doesn't have a deal with CU. Hoping they just couldn't get around to calling me today haha.

I interview in January so this is nice to hear. I'm very hopeful for this because I feel like it's an awesome fit for me
