I interviewed on Jan 16th, they told me then that they would be delayed until late February or Early March for my decision. So, hang in there everyone.
 
I interviewed mid-January and was hoping the committee met yesterday and a decision would be out today! No such luck 🙁

Interview invite just now. In-state...I was complete early August. Do you think this is just for a waitlist spot?

AWESOME! Very happy for you. It is an awesome interview. So far, I felt it was the warmest environment of any school I have visited.

I also don't think this is just for a waitlist spot. If they invited you for an invite I am sure there is a spot available.
 
I just spoke to someone in the admissions office who said they'll be offering interviews through March this year. Still not super hopeful as I was complete in July. Congrats to those with interviews!
 
Rejected post-interview today. Interviewed 1/12, stats are 3.6/30 and I'm instate
 
Does anyone know the 2nd look weekend agenda? Like what time saturday starts and Friday ends?

Are you in the Facebook group? The second year students added a PDF with details about second look.

Yes, I'm currently waitlisted at three MD schools and I have one DO acceptance. I'm happy either route but I'd love to snag a spot at one of the schools

If you don't mind me asking, did they update your admission status on the portal or does it still remain the same status prior to being notified?

Mine remained the same and still currently says I'm in committee despite getting the rejection email.

Your admissions status will never change in that portal. Mine still says "in committee stage," and I was accepted in January.

Not sure but this is very unfair. I applied in julyish and haven't heard anything yet. They are supposed to be rolling admission so they should have reviewed my application ages ago. If the class is near full and I get wait listed or denied for that reason then it is clearly unfair. Its been way too long
 
So I'm guessing Uconn is a no go for me... Nothing but absolute and complete silence from my state school and top choice... Oh well.
 
I interviewed in early February and still no word. I probably got rejected or wait listed
 
I interviewed around the same time and no word either. Anyone have an idea about what this means? I doubt it's a flat out rejection if it's taking so long.
 
Does anyone have an update on this? I'm in the same boat as the two posters above me.
 
Anything yet? Interviewed in early-March and not a peep.
 
My guess is that they are evaluating the rest of their applicants in one large pool probably because they only have a few spots left to give out
 
You got to think we'll hear back one way or another by April 30th, right?
 
Got into my #1 school, so will be withdrawing my acceptance, good luck to those on the waitlist!
 
Still have not heard anything via email or portal since August lol... my chance of acceptance here is 0.0001%
 
Hey everyone! I was placed on the list of high alternates and I'm wondering how this waitlist process works. Are there multiple rankings (ie top half versus bottom half) for the waitlist? If so, has anyone heard rumors about when these rankings go out? Last year's thread says May 15th.

How do you know you're a high alternate? Did they send that out today? Was this in addition to the original waitlist email?
 
The high alternate status email was the only correspondence I received in regard to my waitlist status. I didn't receive a general 'waitlist' letter.

I thought they didn't have ranks yet? That is what my email said...

"Since the Admissions Committee has not yet completed review of all applicants, we are unable to specify a rank-ordered position. We appreciate your patience and your continued interest in the University of Connecticut School of Medicine."

I'm on the high alternate list as well. Since last year's deadline for multiple acceptances was May 15th, that means that we should receive our rankings soon... has anyone tried calling or gotten any response from the admissions office?

me too. damn, i was really hoping i was gonna get an interview for july!
