Of course this could be applied to any school. What would they use to screen then? Numbers? Would this not put applicants with lower numbers but other really strong attributes at a disadvantage? To be fair, it does cost money to have someone look over an application. Can't just screen Work/Activities and the PS.

Mayo screens just based on ECs. I heard they don't even read your PS until they request LORs, so it obviously is possible.
 
I wonder what the earliest date they send out invites to interview is?

Mayo has a minimum lizzym of 60, or thereabouts, but they primarily use the work/activities section to determine who gets lor requests. I heard they don't even read your PS until after they receive your lors.

Mayo has a cutoff of LizzyM about 60, I'm not sure exactly for a Fee Request. If you pass the minimum screen for scores, they request their fee, then look over your app. If you pass that screen, they ask for LORs. They do require a fee to spend the time to consider your application.

SMP GPA: 3.96
MCAT:31
Strong EC's(research heavy)
Strong letters
IS student..not that it matters since URMC is private
 
Is anyone else that is verified still waiting for a secondary?

Did you receive a complete e-mail? I submitted in 7/1 and have been complete on the secondary page for a while. But in the last e-mail I received after I submitted the secondary they said they would e-mail once the application is complete but I didn't get a complete e-mail.

MCAT 34
I am a non-traditional student with a background very heavy in working with disadvantaged, low SES populations.
 
Could someone post the interview questions? Aren't there essays that you have to fill out?

Yes you should get an email confirming complete status.
 
No II here 🙁 (3.9/39). Bummer, I was really excited about Rochester.

Is this different from the checkbox one? If so, what does it ask? I am a bit confused with Rochester's process. I received an email saying they received my completed secondary application...are there two secondaries?

Not essays just list some activities for interviewer to talk about... wouldn't stress until you get it
 
Did you guys actually get an email saying you were complete? I should have been complete a long time ago, and the app status says I am, but their "secondary received" email says "When your application is complete, you will receive an email from us indicating this." And I never got one :-/
