Anybody else in the Northeast? Snow just hit us hard. Hopefully that doesn't delay any potential letters lol.

TN for me...after spending the past couple years in Baltimore I'm glad to not have snow in the forecast for Thanksgiving! Lol

No 🙁 Diane told us we'd get the email last Friday. They're probably going to send out the letters this Friday.
Dang, I thought they told my group that they were meeting this past Friday and would do their best to get our letters sent out today.

It looks like it will be December until we find out. Good luck to all. I would wait for the letter, after such clear instructions at the interview, it would be impertinent to ask for an update. Best of luck to all! :highfive:

So I just got the survey. No decision letter 🙁 I thought the decision letter comes with the survey??

Oh NOOOO! I thought they were sent at the same time as well?! Ughguhgugh this is killing me. Time to stalk old threads to see what's up

Just got my survey. And decision letter.

I GOT IN!!!! :soexcited:

But for those still waiting, I do live right outside of Memphis, so I'm sure yours are all on their way. Bulletant, that is weird that you didn't receive a decision. Maybe it got lost in the mail? I'd email Diane if you don't find out anything.

Congrats!!!

did the survey letter come with the acceptance letter?
Yes it did, but don't worry, an answer will come soon. It is my understanding that they do not mail out survey letters without decision letters. It's mate just got separated in the mail I'm sure 🙂

Got my letter, holding status (ETA: interview was Nov. 18). I may be getting a scribe position soon, though, and a friend (lawyer) & her (very well established lawyer) dad are alums of the UT system and have offered to write some people, which is kind of them. Perhaps I'll have some more positive things to add to my application for consideration n future ad on meetings.

Hopefully this year is my year.

Interviewed 9/8. I'm OOS and living in/from Atlanta. Thought my interview went well, no notification as of yet. No news is better than bad news I suppose!!

So this might be a little premature, but does anyone know if there is a facebook group yet? Just hoping to talk to some people who might know a little more about the area, housing info, etc.

I looked yesterday and I don't think there is. Let's make one. UTHSC College of Medicine Class of 2019?

So after we return the confirmation of acceptance, we just chill out right?

I just intervirwed yesterday and am already dying of anticipation! Haha I can't wait to hear something!

Any II for Dec 16th or 17th out there?

I was wondering the same thing...I think we send that in, they send us an email that they received it, and then we wait until they send us our ID's and password to sign in online. That's what I gathered though, let me know if there is something else I'm missing.

I have been told that you just have to be yourself...is that really it? or are there hardball questions that I should keep an eye out for (Obamacare)?

I have an interview coming up in a week and I was just wondering how it is since this is my first one. I have been told that you just have to be yourself...is that really it? or are there hardball questions that I should keep an eye out for (Obamacare)?
I can't speak for anyone else, but for me there were two interviews, one academic and one personal. During the personal interview we just basically had a conversation about several of my amcas activities, what I liked doing, why medicine and why UT. In my academic one, I was asked why my major and what classes I enjoyed, which class was the most difficult, how I study, and some questions about my research.

Both were very conversational and for me, there were no difficult questions at all. I felt like they just really wanted to get to know me as a person both inside and out of the classroom. I actually enjoyed talking with them as we discussed several topics related to my activities. So as cliche as it is, definitely be yourself.

Hey man! So you ended up liking Memphis more than ETSU?
