Thanks for your response Rhizobium, that makes me feel comfortable going into the interview. Are interviews open or closed file?

We have access to everything you submitted to the school, including AMCAS, secondary, photo, etc. Your interviewer will undoubtedly be using your AMCAS to fill out your interview evaluation afterward, but they may or may not have read over those materials before your interview. Depends on the interviewer.

Can anyone offer more insight into their interview experience? A previous applicant said it was pretty casual/conversational, is this the general consensus?

Mine was extremely casual and conversational. My interviewers were very warm and friendly, and I never felt nervous.

I don't know for sure, but I would think not. There are plenty of people in my class who interviewed late in the season, like February. And no one got in off the waitlist our year, so all the people in my class with a February interview date would have gotten an acceptance.

I think the alternate list nomenclature is "accepted alternate", which of course means you're accepted but as an alternate.

Just got this from them. Complete early August. I've given updates and even spoken on the phone with the DoA, but this is the first time they've contacted me.

We are excited about your continued interest in Creighton University. As you know your application is complete and is ready to be reviewed for interview purposes. The Committee on Admissions is working diligently to review all the completed files submitted by the January application deadline. This will be the final interview review of the application season. Applicants selected to receive an interview will be notified by early-February. These applicants will be invited to schedule an interview during our late-February and March interview dates.

+1 on the email. I enjoy their transparency too but I'm 99% sure they knew that I'd look at my phone only see "We are excited about your..." in an email notification from Creighton.

I got that e-mail as well--such a bummer. I decided to update my application yesterday with some leadership experience I've had these past weeks with the hopes that it will trigger a green light on my app since we only have abt a month or so left.

It might be a little premature but I did the same for another school. I sent a combination of a LOI and Winter Update to a school I haven't gotten an II from. I know Creighton encourages updates so I'd imagine they would be receptive to a LOI as well. Take every shot you can.
