My status finally switched to the "complete and will be reviewed" too.
Not sure when that happened but within the last week or so.
I was complete August 5th or so I believe.
 
Status switched to "Complete and will be reviewed" today. Received completion email on 9/7
 
Oh shoot my status changed to: The Admissions Committee has reached a decision on your application. A letter will be mailed to your preferred address.
Does anyone know what it means?
I heard last year there was a difference between final decision to decision :0

can you elaborate on the "difference between final decision to decision" ??
 
"Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel University" still at this status, interviewed 9/18
 
The Admissions Committee has reached a decision on your application. A letter will be mailed to your preferred address.

Waitlist letter here we go... 🙁

Rumor is that a decision is the wait list; a final decision is either accepted or rejected. FWIW.
 
"Your file is and complete and will be reviewed"...not sure how long I've been at this status (maybe a week since I checked the portal)
Oh, and I did receive a complete email. Idk. :lurking:
 
anyone interview in October and have any change to their portal status?
 
status switched from "is and complete" to "no decision is currently available" -- does that mean a pre-II hold is coming?

That happened to me a week ago. I called admissions and the lady on the phone told me it means you still have to wait. I don't think she knew exactly what it meant

I just received an email regarding my interest in the MD/MPH program. Has anybody else received this email?
 
So my status states, "No decision is currently available. Please continue checking this website for updates."

Submitted 8/5.

Does anyone know what the typical progression is from Drexel regarding their status?

In other words, does my current status mean they have looked at my application and have yet to make a decision, or that they haven't even looked at it yet?

did you check off on the supplemental that you were interested in it?
 
I'm in Philly this weekend and just passed by Drexel. Fingers crossed!

Let us not fall into the speculative turmoil of past threads. There is no difference. I haven't been able to find any evidence that "final decision" even exists.

Also, apparently Drexel uses snail mail so snail-like that it has Benjamin Franklin rolling in his grave. From what I gather, it takes about 7-10 days to get the letter once a decision has been made and indicated on your portal.

yes I did. and we discussed it in my interview. the email I received asks me to fill out a form to release my AMCAS info to the school of public health. on that form they ask for a University ID. I was curious as to if they send that to everyone or just to those who have been accepted. (still awaiting my decision in the mail)
 
I just tried to sign into my portal and access the Status/Decision page. It's requiring me to change my PIN. The trouble I'm having is it isn't recognizing my old PIN. Anyone else having this problem?

Update: Figured out copy-pasting the old PIN prevented me from updating the PIN. Manual entry was the solution. Still weird that it was forcing me to change my PIN in the first page...No update on portal status/decision...

No worries...happened to me too and I'm still at the "no decision" phase. I assume some applicants must've requested a personal pin, so they mandated it (since the login ID stays remembered, but obviously the PIN does not).

Right there with you. This process is unpredictable, so all we can do is wait. Complete 8/24 here, so I can only imagine your impatience.
 
Did anyone receive a "complete" email after submission? I received a payment email, but no email stating I was complete. Submitted 9/12

I did receive a complete email after submitting my secondary. It said:

"Thank you for your interest in the Drexel University College of Medicine. We are pleased to inform you that your file is complete.
Your file will be reviewed as soon as possible. We endeavor to make decisions in a timely manner, however, we have many files to review. Please allow up to three months for an update."

I wouldn't stress too much, if you didn't get one, though. There seems to be a lot of variability in which emails people are receiving and when! Also, I received the complete email on 8/28 and still haven't heard anything. Slooooow process. :xf:🤔

Apparently that typo has been there for years.
Lol, they're never gonna fix it!
 
Entering the ring here, have an interview in a couple of weeks. Has anyone successfully contacted the interview coordinator? I've emailed him/her twice already asking for a list of student hosts but haven't gotten an answer...
 
@DexterM I had to email a couple times before I got an answer. However, I didn't get a response until after I called the office and spoke to a woman that said she would pass on the message to him.
 
Has anyone else had the system randomly ask you to change your password?
 
So, for whatever reason, the change in pw only applies to the "status/decision" link. When you login to the portal, you use the original pw they provided you. Yes, it makes no sense. lol.

Only the old password works for the portal login.
When checking application status, though, you can enter random gibberish into the password box, and it still works???
Anyone else get any o'that?

Uh, wut. Indeed, I changed my pw after I was told to by email. That pw proceeded to NOT work, and now my old one does. And the status/decision portal took "gno4ij14219i3-]4`3]`r,efjepiwhqofn" as my password, and worked. :wtf:
