wow thats shocking, I just got so used to getting nickeled and dimed at every turn...first rejection was from a school that had a $130 secondary fee.... #jaded

OOS LizzyM 75... Still haven't heard anything though. Went to undergrad in Indiana, but not IU specifically and hoping that will help!! Would absolutely love to go here.
When did you all submit? I was 7/22.

IS LizzyM 74. Verified the first day. Haven't heard anything either, so probably just taking some time. Who knows the curious way in which admissions work.

Yeah IS LizzyM 78 and IU was the only school on my primary when I submitted it...and I was verified the second week in June lol
 
IS verified 7/21. Got an interview invite yesterday. Everyone I know who got an interview invite is EDP. If there are any regular decision people who got an interview invite please post. But for those of you who haven't heard, I wouldn't worry too much if you're not EDP. They've got a fair amount of EDP people they've got to sort through first.

Clowns like @panda16 are making this application process miserable for the rest of us, no offense panda! 10 years ago a 78 Lizzy M would only be seen at Harvard or Penn not Indiana University. Panda why don't you go to at least a better BIG TEN school like University of Michigan? Props on your crazy stats.

I do wonder why people with high LizzyM's of that nature apply to low tier MD schools.

Hehe I mean IU was only one of the 12(?) schools I applied to! I hope they will be able to give me scholarships b/c $$$ is a big factor in all of this...plus I would be a fool not to apply to IU as a "safety" (if such a thing even exists in this whole process!) because the Indy Campus (and SB and FW) are very, very solid. I understand my stats are high for IU but I don't think I'm the smartest IS kid applying haha

Yea, a true "safety" medical school really does not exist no matter your stats. Thats why this process is so nerve wracking. Yea I get it, scholarships are huge and would definitely be something for me to look at if I made a 47 on the MCAT like you did.
 
any IS rejections? I applied as IS but was rejected today... I am thinking maybe I was considered OOS for some reason

Haha trust me I go to school with enough of those types...life's too short to be snooty.

Also For anyone's information who is trying to fill out the supplemental and gets the 2015 MCAT error message (i.e. you can't enter it because it says it is "invalid") I was told by the office today to just leave it blank!
 
Received an II this morning. OOS w/Indiana ties, LizzyM= 69.5. I am actually really surprised to get an interview here since my stats are not extremely outstanding and I am OOS. Good luck to all others who are still waiting to hear, hang in there you will get good news! 🙂

The email they send you is like "you have been selected for an interview" but they don't give you the date yet. Rather, they just give you the information to fill out the IUPUI graduate school application.
 
Are you guys just choosing the campus you want to interview at? My II email says that I need to respond within 7 days, but they don't give me an option to submit in the portal, only to select the interview site.

Yep just mark which is your preference. It will then black it out and you can't Change it.

Does the preference for interview location have any bearing on final choice for medical school region??

Nope! Specifically says that in the email.

"Where you elect to interview does not dictate campus placement should you be offered admission."

Mind if I ask if you are OOS? If not, what was your MCAT score? Did they say anything about why they denied you?
 
II for Rural Medicine Program today!! Totally surprised, thought it was a rejection email.
The process for this program seems a little different though, I have to submit the application and then they schedule my interview.

OOS; New MCAT 508, cGPA 3.64

I think my background and interest in rural medicine saved me here.
 
II; OOS

For the LORs, have they just not updated them or do we need to resend them?

Can anyone else not put in their MCAT (new one) score in the IUPUI graduate application? It says that the score is impossible. I tried putting in scores on the old scale and it worked. Maybe they haven't updated their system yet???

I'm on the fence about applying to the program. How did you decide?
 
Got an II from IU today 8/7. 511 MCAT, cGPA 3.36, sGPA 3.18, IS. I received the "we got your app" email on 7/20.
 
Where do you pick your interview location? I don't see it on the "application portal," and already submitted the supplement

EDIT: Nevermind
 
Wait, I literally have to print out a paper and have it filled out by the dean saying I've never had any IAs, and mail it...?
