I really hope they start making calls today. Since May first falls on a Sunday.I haven't heard anything yet. Portal still says " Defered - Decision pending"

I'm thinking that deferred applicants are more likely to hear sometime around the middle of next week-it'll give the committee time to meet and sort out deferred applicant pool.I really hope they start making calls today. Since May first falls on a Sunday.
I feel like they already met to discuss deferred applicants tbh. I was looking at the last few years thread and people have gotten accepted May 1st or the day before.I'm thinking that deferred applicants are more likely to hear sometime around the middle of next week-it'll give the committee time to meet and sort out deferred applicant pool.

I can confirm they started calling today!!my nerves today lol. I really hope they start calling today cause I don't like this anxious waiting feeling where you're hoping for the best but trying not to hope too hard so you don't get your feelings hurt and get disappointed like you did the first time you got deferred lol.
Congrats!!!I can confirm they started calling today!!
I've been deferred at OSU twice, both times into June before I heard a rejection. If you don't hear back today, you're still on the fixed waitlist. They'll keep you on until such a time that they can decide definitively whether you have a shot or not at reaching one of the available spots, contingent upon who accepts/does not accept their recent offer from OSU. At that point, you'll receive an email letting you know your status is updated, and it should say something like "file closed" with an attached letter. As a deferred applicant, if we do not hear back today does that mean waitlist or rejection? Curious what my chances are at this point having not heard anything yet today

Did you get an email or did the Dean call you?
I would say go with the campus that felt the most at home to you. All medical schools are great. They're difficult to get into, but it's really if the school is a right fit for you. Which students did you feel the most connected to? Which campus did you enjoy the most? I'm from Ohio, so it would be instate for me. I do know Wayne instate is a little less expensive than Ohio State, but I could be wrong. Both schools are amazing!So...I got an extension on making a decision and was curious as to whether anyone could help me with my decision. Why OSU? Wayne State's my other option so if anyone has experience with making a decision between the two school, I would really appreciate any advice. @Rainbow Zebra
So if no word yesterday does that essentially mean waitlist with eventual rejection in June? I want to start making plans at a different school if my chances here are pretty much through
I know multiple people who were taken off the waitlist as late as July, so there's always a chance. I believe they may be able to tell you what area of the waitlist you're on after a bit of time (high/middle/low priority, something like that) but I can't quite remember. So if no word yesterday does that essentially mean waitlist with eventual rejection in June? Has anyone who was accepted yesterday received the official email or had their status change on the portal?
I loved OSU, thought they had a fabulous campus, great curriculum (Lead.Serve.Inspire). I turned down an interview at Wayne, as I won't not have attended Wayne over OSU. Columbus is nicer than Detroit, and COA is not too much above Wayne. Wayne has a really old, creaky curriculum, hit or miss on professors (see the Wayne threads from prior years). You get IS tuition at OSU after 1 year, which sold me on OSU, even though I am a Michigan resident. Much better ranking too (like 40 places, so not even close). Good luck to you, great to have choices.So...I got an extension on making a decision and was curious as to whether anyone could help me with my decision. Why OSU? My son got accepted to OSU yesterday
Is there a facebook page for the class of 2020?

Forgot to mention a while back that I also was accepted! I will be attending! There is waitlist moving. A lot of people have been added to the FB group since I got accepted.
3.9/ 515Would you mind sharing stats?
does anyone who has been doing the online anatomy course have any of the audio and lectures downloaded and saved? I had been waiting until my job finished to start the course but as you all know the portal is down. If anyone has any of the recordings and lectures saved and would be willing to send them to me I would really really appreciate it! I'm now unemployed and bored haha!
Congrats to all who were recently accepted btw!
