Agreed, you need either a reason to attend or demonstrate a good fit. My LizzyM score was 80 back in the day, and I am convinced I got a Tulane interview because of my AmeriCorps service and not my academics.

You aren't going to be automatically accepted or rejected based on high undergraduate scores.

October? No way 🙁 I got the end of January as the earliest date I could interview. I mean I'm grateful for the interview in the first place but waiting until basically February for it is a downer, as this is really one of my top choices.

My interview is in october too.


Are the september interview slots for the early decision people?
 
Actually, never-mind the interview dates make sense and I should go sleep haha. Seems like beginning of of August was October, Mid was November-December, and late was Jan/Feb. interview dates. For some reason I remember the II's being more spread out than just over the course of a month... this application cycle is wearing me down !! Some M1's here that I know got II's in October and interviewed in November though, so I think they should have some slots reserved for later applications!

some people also do withdraw their interviews after getting acceptances elsewhere. That's a possibility.

Not exclusively. There are regular decision applicants interviewing the same days as early decision applicants in September.
 
Ya I'm regular decision and scheduled for Sept 22nd....I think those slots probably just git snatched up really quick. The way Tulane does their interviews though I think having a late date is fine!

I'll go first! I submitted 7/10 and still have not heard back. Like, actually! What is the hold up? lol

Not far behind you! Complete on 7/15 and my check mark turned green around 7/29, dunno what it means but I thought it meant progress...guess not I suppose since there's no rejection yet we should be happy??
 
Okay so I just read on last year's thread that someone was complete and under review on 8/1 and did not receive an II until 10/25. Ended up getting accepted.

Time to chill.

Edit: also interview dates were filled through end of January during this time last year as well. There were still spots for interviews open later in the cycle, obvi 😉
 
That is encouraging.

I thought my application was complete when i had turned everything in on the 22nd, but they didn't confirm I was complete until 8.10. Not quite sure why it was such a long process for me while others were complete the moment they submitted their payment. I wouldn't mind dealing with what appears to be a non linear timeline if schools weren't using a rolling admissions process. They make us obsessed with getting things in as quickly as possible and then they proceed through the applications in a seemingly random process.

How about they get rid of rolling admissions and then our neurosis drops a bit and we stop calling them trying to figure out when the hell is going on all the time. Seems like a win-win.
 
how many interview dates are offered on September? I know there is one on September 17th, and September 22nd? are these all the dates for the September Month?
 
Man now I'm tweaking - I scheduled mine for December because I didn't see any other available dates! Did I just completely misread things? when i clicked thru the calendar nothing showed up until dec...
 
disappointed I missed out on the whole mean girls thing...

im a guy and not ashamed its probably the best movie of all time

You can try to "cancel your interview" and check again if early dates are available? Lol

oh gosh that sounds risky!

i mean, it's not unlikely - there were MANY rounds of interviews given before mine, so i can understand things filling up. i distinclty remember clicking through the months and not seeing anything available to select until Dec...

but now i'm getting paranoid that i just clicked haphazardly! @monkeygirl92 when did you receive your II? did you see these sept dates recently or a few weeks ago?
