Can those of you who have received II tell us how your secondary portal changes? Because i did not get the application complete email, i am concerned that in the event that i do receive an II, i may not get the actual email.
 
I just got my first II from Tulane!! Interview spots fill up so fast though. The earliest I could find was 12/4, hoping thats not too late

I def dont think people need to worry about being " too late." My friend from the 2014 cycle only got her interview invite in JANUARY and was accepted 🙂.

What's the deal with the red exclamation point under the application status? It says "In Progress" next to it, and has since I submitted my secondary almost a month ago.

My understanding is that this means you are under review. Do you have a green check next to Complete on the row above?

I believe your application is not complete. Give them a call to see what's up with that

What does your portal look like? Do you have a red exclamation mark next to the in progress field? Just trying to confirm that i am indeed complete as i never received an application complete email although i do have a green check next to application file complete.

I also have green check mark to "Application complete" but underneath there is a red exclamation point next to the words "in progress". In my "communication status" tab it lists that I was complete on 7/28, but I have no email from them in my inbox (gmail). But next to that exclamation point it says to not call, email, etc. about your app status...don't want to ruffle any feathers but I kind of want to call lol

I'm using a separate email for med school apps, so I just set a different notification sound for that account 🙂
 
Just to let you all know, i did just call them to ensure i didnt have a problem w my app as i submitted on the 22nd never got an email and the communications tab doesnt say anything about being complete. They said that they had some problems w their email and that i am complete. The red exclamation next to in progress means its under review. Thought this might ease some minds!
 
Ok so I just got the email that I'm complete and under review.

Only took them a month (submitted/everything in 7/10)

Good luck! I received my interview invite today after being complete on 7/29. Browsing from last year's Tulane thread, it looks like AmeriCorps/PeaceCorps/TFA are highly looked upon here. I'm not an alum but will be starting my service at a community health care center in a few weeks. Hoping the best for you!
 
So... I've been complete since 7/14 and it's been silence. Anyone else in this boat?

So do we think this means they review in a random order? Or do I sit in the "maybe" pile since I haven't been rejected?
 
I just contacted Tulane--initially they told me that I had something missing in my application. After they checked on my status, I was told that my application is actually complete. However, the reason I have yet to receive a "complete" email is that "I have not been assigned to a screener yet." They told me that would happen in a few days.

I don't really understand this? I'm glad all the documents are in, but I submitted 7/20 and have only just now has my application been assigned to be reviewed?
 
complete: 7/9/15
invited on: 7/30/15
interview date: 9/17/15

Feel like my interview at Tulane is super early (mid-September). I applied as an early decision applicant so I'm guessing that's why, anyone else in the same boat?

Exact same thing happened to me. I submitted on 22nd and just now got email saying im complete. A bit annoyed that this only now happened considering the II that have already been sent, but at least its progress
 
Is anyone counting the II's going out here because wow does it seem like a lot!
 
I submitted on 7/7 and still no complete email, though all of my materials have been received. Oh well! I'm going with the sentiment of no news is not bad news.

UPDATE: Literally 30 minutes after calling I got an email saying that my application was complete and now under review. I don't know if I should celebrate or drown myself

Right there with you. I submitted and was complete 7/11 and have heard nothing. Since a bunch of people have been offered II or rejected who submitted after me, think that means anything? Or do I just have a VERY slow reviewer?

12/4 is definitely not too late. I interviewed 1/26 in the 2014/2015 cycle and I am currently in the midst of my second week at Tulane!

I submitted my application July 6 and haven't received an "under review" email.... so basically my application has been sitting there for a month and hasn't been looked at yet?

I never got a review email, I just submitted then got an II
 
I submitted on the 20th and never got an application complete email even though on the status it had a green check next to application file complete. Because i never got an email saying i was complete, and because i had a red exclamation mark next to In Progress i called today to make sure my file was complete and nothing was missing. They told me that some complete emails were never sent and to not worry, i was actually complete and under review. An hour or so later i get an email saying i am complete and the red exclamation mark is now a green check.

Seems to me that the office was wrong (they didn't ask for my name to actually look up my application) and that i am only just now complete. The office doesn't seem to be too concerned about it which leads me to believe that even though this has delayed us a few weeks it isn't actually detrimental to our applications. That's what i'm hoping for at least

Agreed. We have this discussion every year. I also interviewed late January, and got an acceptance right away. Later interviews are NOT "interviews for the wait list".

The nice thing about late January interviews is that it is the early edge of crawfish season. I feel bad for the chumps that get September interviews and have to settle for oysters.
 
Did you get your spot at tulane because of your SDN handle or did you get your SDN handle because of your spot at tulane? Thanks for your encouraging words of sanity. Hoping to hear good news from Tulane soon!

So did I! Did you get a secondary yet? I thought secondaries were automatic but it's been several days and I haven't gotten one yet.
 
AHHHH!! My in progress category just went from red to green sometime this morning!!! Here's to hoping for a II sometime this week!!

It's been over 1.5 weeks since my check went green and haven't heard anything yet, so don't get too hopeful you will hear back immediately.

No I don't think it signifies anything, really. I just got excited because it is the first movement in this respect that I've had from any school. All the other 12 secondaries I have submitted just say "complete" (if they say anything, that is.)

I will probably be in the same boat as you.
 
Mine was never red - it's been green since I submitted.... So idk but I doubt it means an II
