I completed my secondary here in early August but still have yet to hear back and my portal page has been saying the same thing all these months.

I know they say they don't want updates till you've been invited to interview, but I'm worried. Do you guys think it's worth contacting them? I'm guessing my chances are slim and they're just holding onto my rejection right now :\
 
Is there anything a wait listed candidate can do to increase their chances of acceptance? LOI, updates, etc?
 
Secondary completed on 8/1 and still have not heard anything. Cmon UCD...give an alumni some love!
 
So I'm going to be that guy and assume since I haven't heard anything post secondary by now, and all the interview spots look filled, and they've only sent out rejections pre-secondary and post-interview, AND there are those who got an email saying that they're on an interview waitlist, I'm out of the running. It's been fun guys! Good luck to all to those still in the running 🙂

How do you know all the spots are filled? And when do they interview till?

I'm just going by what other people on this thread have said about there only being a few interview dates open out of the selections they had to pick from. And from what it sounds like, Interviews go until the end of February. Again, this is only from my own amateur investigation skills.

Did anyone who interviewed send a thank you note? If so, did you email it or send it snail mail?

I just sent mine via the online system. One of our group asked about it and that's what they recommended.

No, there's a communications section in the portal where you did your secondary and got your interview info, etc. You can send messages there.
 
Also assuming I'm out here. Closest school to home but I guess it wasn't mean to be.
 
How are you guys preparing for the MMI? My interview is coming up soon and I am trying to be as prepared as possible!

You can't! And they're not joking when they say that.🙂 I googled UC Davis MMI prior to my interview and watched a video of Dean Sousa explaining it at a pre-health conference. It doesn't tell you much more than the email you receive prior to your interview but it helped me calm down a little. It's definitely a different feel than a 1 on 1 but it's not so bad once you are doing it. Just be yourself!
 
Just wondering... if you weren't among that Thursday group 2ish weeks after your interview... does that mean to assume you got rejected/waitlisted?

They should call you to notify you whether you got in, got put on waitlist or rejected.

I interviewed that day and haven't heard anything. Do they usually call over multiple days or are we kinda out of the running of we haven't gotten a call?
 
Could any current Davis students or anyone else in the know provide some input as to when the last II's here are sent out? I'm assuming I'm pretty much rejected but I would still like to know

Ah ok, thanks. So regular, non-cancellation interviews are still sent out throughout Feb?
