Does Davis accept updates/letters of intent from waitlisted applicants? I've read somewhere they won't take anything until April 30th, but I'm not sure whether to believe that or not.

On their website it says they accept update/ intent letters from applicants after they are invited to interview. I believe they won't start making decisions to accept people off the waitlist until after April 30.

Anyone hear anymore news for the 3/4 interview? It's been pretty quiet on my end and it's getting close to the 3 week mark :-/.
 
Did any other accepted students (3/4 interview) receive a Certiphi background check request? I just received one and am trying to deduce which school it came from.
 
Interviewed in the morning group on 3/11. Waiting for that coveted phone call...
 
Anyone know if TEACH-MS interviews are over. Accepted 3/4 and havent heard back.
 
Did anyone who interviewed on 3/11 get the call yet? I'm wondering if it'll happen today or tomorrow...
 
I know that April 30 is supposed to be the first day that they give out Waitlist acceptances, but does anybody know if they give any earlier than that? For example, I know UCSD gives out acceptances in late March despite saying that they only do so around May. Thank you!!

I'm wondering if the Office of Admissions is closed today. I called them a couple times this morning and no one answered. UC Davis SOM is also on spring break this week.

Ahhh that makes sense. Maybe we'll have to wait till next Monday to find out then.

Or do you guys think they called the acceptances on Wednesday (since one sdn-er did) and next week we will get the WL or no go emails next week?

I don't think they're done making calls for 3/11.

I got the call last Wednesday and was told to expect an email within the next few days, but haven't received it yet. No changes to my portal either.

Hey mackkdad! I'm waitlisted here too, been there for over a month. I hear the waitlist has seen forty to even fifth percent be accepted off it as per the dean, but the last couple of years have been less than that.

You and I are waiting for the same CA schools, I'm glad I have someone to relate to! We'll see what happens... Hang in there!

I'm so sorry 🙁. Hope you have better luck elsewhere. You can try emailing their office. They're pretty responsive.

I am waitlisted for schools. The wait is agonizing.

To all those waitlisted: over the next three weeks the admissions committee will be re-evaluating your applications to rank you on the wait list. Beginning May 1st, as current accepted students reject their offers, they will be sending out acceptances starting at the top of the list. It's hard to say how many people they'll pull off, but historically UC Davis has pulled many (though last year seemed to be an exception). Basically, if you're on the waitlist, don't worry too much (easier said than done obviously)!

I received an interview for SJV PRIME last Thursday and passed on it, hopefully it goes to one of you!

Does anyone know how many people or % of people came out of Waitlist last year?
 
I was just invited to interview at SJV Prime; however, I am on the waiting list. Does this mean anything?

The UC Davis med website also says only students that have been accepted are invited to interview at SJV. I am very confused.

Perhaps you've already gotten in and they don't announce until May 1?!
