Rejected. OOS, LizzyM~72. Complete the middle of August. Was hoping that my strong research background would get me an interview. Good luck to those still in the running.

Not a peep on my end and I've been complete since late July. I wish they'd just rip off the band-aid already 🙁

Just got a secondary tonight. What are you guys choosing to expand upon? Did any of you recycle material like a diversity essay or something along those lines??

REALLY? Then it's a secondary with literally nothing else to do but pay the fee.....UCSD wanted to know about (literally) my entire life.

I did submit a brief (less than 200 word) update because I felt I had some new EC's that might contribute positively to my application. I started some new volunteering (my application is a bit low on volunteer work so I wanted to add that) and I recently presented a poster at a conference. As others have said, I'd probably leave it blank unless you think you have new and relevant info to share that wasn't covered in AMCAS. If so, by all means, include it!

Good to know that you're still surviving too! 🙂 Since it's just a waiting game now, I've been pretty silent on the forums.
 
Did you guys get a confirmation email that they received your primary? Waiting for secondary and am now concocting scenarios...
 
Just interviewed! Such a great school, and everyone seems so happy. The dream is still alive!

Oh, and I would say that the secondary is a good opportunity to add a focus, because it said to update or expand on your activities if I recall. Just a great way to add more detail to your app.

Interviewed for JMP early Oct, and haven't heard back yet, but I have this impression (maybe they told me.. it's been a while) that we'd hear back around Thanksgiving or in December. You need an acceptance to the Berkeley grad school before the JMP committee can accept you..

Anxiously waiting!!! Pretty much my number one...

I wouldn't recommend it, but if the anxiety is killing you, you could technically find the ucsf portal page and use your amcas id and email to create a password login to see if you have access. If they haven't invited you yet, you won't.

I may or may not have accidentally done this...

Edit: it seems like they are vaguely chronological with secondary invites, but not completely, so keep that in mind... When did you add UCSF?

I just noticed their website says typically applicants get secondaries 3 - 10 weeks after UCSF receives the primary.. I suppose that means if you have been completed in August your time is running out..

Actually today I am way too exhausted to be anxious (thankfully). The anxiety ebbs and flows, and right now it's not bad. I was thinking about finding the ucsf portal page to confirm they had received the application, but you allayed my anxiety a bit by confirming that they do not send a "primary received" email (not to mention, I now know I won't have access to the portal since they haven't invited me to complete the secondary, so it would have been a waste of time for me to even bother with sleuthing my way around, and I'd prolly freak out etc etc--so thanks again for the second heads up, too!)

My primary was verified 8/20, and I believe I added it then or shortly thereafter (I applied to a ridiculous number of schools and don't remember the exact date, though I do know my letters were in 10/15). I have a somewhat unusual situation and I'm anticipating many curious glances at my app (and then promptly tossing it in the recycling bin), so who knows.

Yeah I'm not holding my breath, but who knows what sticks and what doesn't?
 
Rejected...Man, I really thought I'd get a secondary from here..this rejection hurt, time for some ice cream and :spam:, jk I just like the emoji spam icon..but yes on the ice cream

I thought they only sent rejections to people who had been invited to fill in a secondary application?
 
Rejected today via email, post-secondary 🙁
 
Finally got the axe! Rejected post-secondary, complete ~7/27. Good thing I am already completely numb at this point of the cycle (12th rejection LOL).

I guess not? I never got a secondary...
It was however--the nicest rejection letter yet.

Verified: 10/7? (LORs say received 10/17, but I sent out my AMCAS on the 7th so who knows.)
Secondary: 11/4

They send a username/password via email for their portal

I really dropped the ball on this secondary, it took me almost a month to turn it in :nailbiting: I was just so burnout from secondaries and my job... I'm very proud of my essays but that delay, man... Hopefully they will look past that. PRIME is such an awesome program, I'd love to be apart of it.

Did anyone submit past the 2 week mark and get an invite?
