Hmm, does the MD adcom and the MSTP adcom see both applications? :/ because for the "Expand or update upon your activities" question, i could talk about my recent employment that wasn't included on AMCAS but I wrote about that in my MSTP application too. Would it be worth writing about it for both the MD/MSTP application?

Nope. UCSF doesn't send out an email prior to secondary invite!

Also I was verified 6/19 and received secondary on 7/21

From what I've heard, UCSF doesn't send out "app received" emails. I kinda wish they did, haha.

About the LORs thing. I don't think they look at letters before sending out secondaries.

LORs are listed as part of the secondary application.

Some details to help those still waiting in this outrageously unpredictable cycle.
OOS, c and sGPA 3.8/33, primary verified 6/12, reapplicant and did not get UCSF when I applied before but did get UCLA and UCSD. Currently waiting on UCLA still.

Don't worry, I submitted my AMCAS 62/, was verified 6/10 and did not receive a secondary until July 22. So I think it's somewhat random?

I'm ready to submit my secondary, but I need them to reply to my email first. If you have emailed them, how long did it take them to respond? Thanks in advance for the feedback. (I don't want to pester them by double emailing them; seems desperate like double texting)

Does anyone know approximately what percentage of people who submit AMCAS to UCSF receive a secondary?

I think it's a little less than 50% but the biggest cut of course is from secondary to II.
