I didn't receive an email I just checked the portal. That was a couple weeks back and I never got an email so I'm assuming it's just on the portal?

A prior post by hellanutella (page 1) stated that last year there were approximately ~3000 EFI and 426 interview invites. So, no. But it is a step in the right direction! 🙂

Well that sure makes me less excited. But a good sign and I'll take it!
 
I was not early decision, I believe they have certain stat requirements for EDP and I am shy of them. I would have, if I could have.

They weren't kidding about the "15 business day wait." Tomorrow is my 15th business day since I competed the secondary so I'm hoping for EFI or shattered dreams. *Here's to hoping (and waiting)*
 
LizzyM 78 and I am IS AND have already gotten an interview invite from Baylor, sent in my secondary to UCF before the one to Baylor, yet still waiting on II to my own hometown school UCF.... :lame:

Yeah, UCF and UF are the closest to me but it's been radio silence from them. I have learned that med schools can be very picky and, no matter what you do, will always do things on their own time. Congratulations on the LizzyM 78.

Thanks! Yeah...its just frustrating. My favorite would be medical schools getting mad I applied to many different places. I would respond with "you're interviewing more applicants than you have spots for! I gotta get in somewhere!" haha. Good luck with everything! 🙂👍

Congratulations! Do you know when you received EFI status? I've heard UCF's interview day is the best!
 
I'm screwed. Somehow I missed the train when they said they need FIVE letters of rec if you're not submitting a committee packet. That's really excessive.

Hi everyone! Current M1 at UCF COM and I can't say anything but amazing things about the school. REL is as great as everyone says he is and makes the application process very easy to get through. The Interview Day was BY FAR the best interview experience that I had during my app cycle. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to message me! Hopefully I'll be able to meet a few of you through Homestay (strongly suggest you to take advantage of that!). Good luck everyone!

I'm in the same boat as you in reverse. I am officially OOS for FL (I did grow up there, but I'm really old so it's been quite a while since I have lived there) and I have received three II from FL state schools and nothing from state school where I actually live ... Lizzy M 77, which should be plenty good enough for my state school. It's super frustrating to feel at the mercy of so much randomness--I am a much older nontrad with kids etc. and would really, really like not to have to move them across the country. Be assured I am very happy about the UCF II but I will hope for you and you hope for me at my state school, LOL!

Thank you! I've heard the same! 🙂 I'm not sure exactly when I was EFI, but I believe it was during the last week of July.

I actually never received an email for EFI, I'm not sure that they send one! I just checked the portal too.

We do not routinely send emails everytime your status changes. We do not send out too many emails for changes except for File Complete and other emails: reminders to complete your file (later in the cycle) and other final actions (Acceptance Package, not qualified, or not competitive for an interview, etc.)
