Yes. Eastern. I have received updates stamped 6:03, and 6:38 if that helps.

Do you guys think there's any chance that people will be accepted at 6:30 today despite not having received an acceptance phone call or email from their interviewer?

i bet so. the people interviewing applicants are volunteers who have their own business to attend to each day. some may feel like emailing/calling to let me people know they've been accepted, which is awesome, while others may figure that they don't need to jump ahead and do that since VCU has placed all their offers into the portal already. i dont think seeing other people get a call/email is grounds for any of us to infer anything about our own candidacy at all!

I received an email around 9:30am MST (Idaho resident) from my interviewer letting me know I have been accepted. I had never emailed my interviewer previously. My portal hasn't updated and my interviewer told me that it would probably update around 6:30pm EST. I interviewed on 10/21 and received an email letting me know my application had been reviewed a couple weeks later. It seems that the portal should update around 6:30pm today for everyone but only some interviewers choose to reach out.

I agree that not every interviewer probably reached out. Mine just basically said "hey btw your portal says you were accepted - did you get any notification?" I'm guessing the admissions office reached out to interviewers to request them to tell their interviewees if they had been accepted because perhaps some glitch prevented them from being released by portal yesterday. Not all interviewers may have had time to contact ppl. Keep hope guys

This is probably unusual, but I emailed Dr. Whitehurst-Cook a question earlier this afternoon and she just responded answering my question and also telling me that I was accepted! No change in my portal status though.

Correct, my interviewer did not email me. Dr. WHC said that they were experiencing issues since they changed their system to Outlook. She wants me to check the portal tonight and in the morning letting her know if I can see my status change.
