Are you waiting for secondary or interview? If you're waiting for secondary, when were you ready for review?

Well I received my secondary on the 5th of August and am currently waiting for an interview. I was just surprised that people whose AMCAS were ready for review still haven't received anything....

The wait is truly driving me crazy!!! I called a few weeks ago and they told me that the subcommittee will reach me between mid/late-October to election day 🙁

They interview ~1000 ppl? So about 1/3 assuming they give ~2800-3000 secondaries. Will vary if you're IS/OOS but that's the combined number.

I am OoS and my AMCAS was processed on 27 July. VCU gave a secondary on 5 August; Submitted the secondary/Ready for review on 9 August. LizzyM 66-67 with a lot on the CV

Not yet for me (interviewed 9/28), but I was wondering the same thing and found a couple posts from people in this thread who said they'd switched to the post-interview hold status!

Have limited myself to checking the portals 1x every week. Working 60 hours a week does leave me much time to think about applications thankfully though

I'd surmise that they haven't presented you to committee yet, or that your final score hasn't been entered. Just try your best to relax!

Yay, welcome to the club. Received mine this week too, after waiting since july. Definite apply! They only give secondaries to ~2800 out of 9000+ applicants, and then interview around 1000, so the chose you in the screen for a reason!

I had this status last year. While these statuses are "somewhat" indicative of your initial priority score, this means that you are still in line for an interview should space allow. The only pre-II status change that matters is an invitation to interview, not the "very/may/further/subcommittee" ones.

Agreed. I got the "lowest priority" status and ended up with an early October II a week later. It can be easy to look too deeply into these statuses, what matters is you didn't get rejected!

I dunno when you finished... but I have been in your boat since 11 August 2015.... I called them and I am expecting a response for me between the week of Halloween and Election Day. If you're OOS... that might explain why you're in limbo for so long... GL

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Downtown. They had a free shuttle to VCU, but it is really just a few blocks away. I also took the bus from the Richmond airport to downtown for about $2 each way. It only runs in morning and afternoons, but was a pleasant 40 minute ride during daylight. My fellow interviewees were astounded I would take a bus. I've taken buses from Laguardia through Harlem to mid-Manhattan, and that isn't scary either. No worries, and got to treat myself to a nice dinner with all the money I saved not taking a taxi. And I'm a short, Asian-looking female, with no street cred!

I also stayed here and walked the few blocks to the school. Would suggest taking the shuttle if the weather's not good, but it's only about a 10-12 minute walk in heels 😉 Didn't feel at all unsafe. Nice hotel too!

Lol just got the secondary. Submitted primary 7/23. I'm gonna wait and see if I get accepted this week to any places I've already interviewed at before submitting.
