Is there an official hold status for this school? (either from email or on the portal)
 
So I sent in my secondary on 7/14, retook my MCAT on 9/9. I'm still "under review" and have survived all of these purges (so far), but is it safe to say they are waiting on my MCAT score before making a final decision?

I'm not positive but I don't think your application is complete and forwarded for review until all components are in (including MCAT)
 
Were all these rejections in this wave sent out at the same time? Or are they being sent out in batches throughout the day?

+1... I've been nervously awaiting this week and/or next week for the Hoya powers that be to get to my app and drop the guillotine or spare me.
 
+2. both people who have had their apps completed before and after mine have gotten rejection letters or II. i'm waiting on my fate, too. completed late july.
 
Seems that the day following a round of rejections is filled with II's - good luck tomorrow everyone!
 
Does anyone know how long they were "under review" before they heard about interviews or rejections? Complete mid-August and under review since the beginning of September.

Been "under review" since 7/20, according to an email they sent me.

I received an email on 7/20 though that my application was forwarded to the committee. Their website says they put you on hold if they're expecting another MCAT score, so maybe that's what it is. Guess I'll need to make an animal sacrifice to the adcom gods and hope my score improved and helps me out :help:

My interview was in my opinion pretty challenging, questions were very repetitive, it was by no means a conversation but rather as if I was being intentionally put in the hot seat and made to feel uncomfortable. I was asked the following questions:

Tell me about activity (x3)
Why Georgetown?
Why Medicine?
Biggest strength/weakness?
Three best qualities your friends would say about you?
One strength that you would never get rid of regardless of if it cost you acceptance to the program?
Three best qualities for a physician to have
Biggest problem in medicine? Give me another one.
If you gave a prescription ten times the dose what would you do? What if you were a medical student and it was the attending who gave the wrong dose? Challenged answer. Challenged again. And again.
What questions do you have for me (x7) - he did not have an answer to any question that I asked, extremely awkward but he kept asking me "what else"

Had an amazing day and loved the school, program, and speakers, but my interview left a bad taste in my mouth... I don't know if I was intentionally being put in the hot seat but it was probably one of the most uncomfortable conversations I've ever had.

I would say despite the interviewer perhaps being a little difficult and seeming like they're grilling you, it doesn't necessarily reflect the impression you left on him/her. Everyone has their own style and that person even after the seemingly awkward encounter, may have great things to say about you.

Wow sounds like they really grill their candidates. I wouldn't worry too much. I've heard some schools do that just to see how you respond. They just want someone who can defend their opinions logically and someone who knows what they are getting into. You may surprise yourself. I prefer schools that don't do the "lets push to their limit and make them uncomfortable to really see how they handle hard questions/pressure" schools lol
 
Does anyone know what information the interviewers have about you?

That's how I felt about the one traditional interview I had. I'm really wondering how much it factors into school decisions. All my MMIs were amazing, and then the traditional one was just out of left field.
