Rejected just now. Did not even get the chance to take my CASPer which I am signed up to take today. Thanks Tulane for making me spend $20 that I did not have to.

What the heck? I'm sorry you guys. When were you complete? It's still so early and I'm sure you both will have amazing cycles.
And also the expensive secondary fee as opposed to it being waived at other schools. Still $62.50 with FAP. Rejected OOS, complete 6/30Rejected just now. Did not even get the chance to take my CASPer which I am signed up to take today. Thanks Tulane for making me spend $20 that I did not have to.

you didn't get a clear answer but in case you haven't submitted it yet, no. south asians are not URM. if you use the argument of partition and wars then every south asian would be URM lol, as would Japanese folks because of the internment camps, chinese folks because of the exclusion act, etc.Idk, there was the whole partition thing and consequent wars...
there's no denying that we are minorities in the context of the united states but within medical school student bodies nation-wide, the point of the term URM is that you must be a minority and also underrepresented in comparison to the % your demographic makes up in the US pop. Asians make up about 5% of the US pop. and more than 5% of med school student bodies.

Check on the MSAR, all the info is on there
I AM TOO!! It's really frustrating... I'm not even sure what an "available" date looks like...anyone trying to schedule an interview and having a hard time loading the page...and then the dates won't even pop up as available?!?!
The MSAR says number matriculated. Not acceptance offers.Check on the MSAR, all the info is on there
Anybody complete on 7/7 or after and get an II yet?
First rejection today! (OOS, 519 MCAT, 3.6 cGPA)

Sigh, it hurts to see people with similar stats as me get a II. As mentioned earlier, rejected.

For the people getting rejections or even interviews...are those all people who submitted early July basically? I submitted about a week (maybe less ago) so I guess I won't be hearing back from them for a while. I don't know how speedily they're moving chronologically
UVA, submitted secondary 6/28where did you go to college? when did you submit
I am beginning to see how stats don't matter and how random the process is . I guess it's a matter of "fit". Am sure you will find your fit in other places . It's still pretty early in the cycleSigh, it hurts to see people with similar stats as me get a II. As mentioned earlier, rejected.

I'm not sure I would go so far as to say that the process is "random". While they don't just choose people with high number stats, there are lots of components of each applicant taken into consideration (i.e. personal statements, secondary answers, work/activities). And yes, most schools are looking for someone they believe will be a good "fit"
When were you guys able to schedule the interview? I only see dates in November!
Oh yeah there are many factors that are taken into account, I meant random from our perspective as we will never know how it worksI'm not sure I would go so far as to say that the process is "random". So were you able to schedule your interview for , what was the first available date?Just got my II! OOS, non-trad, LizzyM 69, haven't taken CASPer yet
Edit: submitted secondary 7/6
I AM TOO!! It's really frustrating... I'm not even sure what an "available" date looks like...
If you haven't figured it out all ready, I had to cycle through a couple of months before I found dates that said "available" in bold letters. The earliest I saw on Monday was for October.
Does anyone's app still have a red exclamation mark? I submitted July 14 and I'm getting a bit worried now.. only thing I can think of is that it's because I'm signed up to re-take the MCAT (though I already have a previous score). Anyone have any insight?
I have the same thing and I submitted around the same time… I'm worried as well but I am not scheduled for a retake so not sure.
