Rejected as well.

Rejected pre II just now. Finally filling in the blanks on my spreadsheet.
Thanks for the transparency @UAZ COM-T Admissions ! I really hope other schools start following your lead.
Have a good one everybody!🙂
Interviews all done. 2 more accepted since they last sent something out last Monday.
The current estimate we've seen in this thread is 155, I believe. And how many are they going to accept? Around 150 right?

It makes me happy to see that they've only given out about half of their acceptances so far. Fingers crossed for everyone here who's still waiting post-II!
I feel like it's accepted because people aren't admitted yet since they could have paid the deposit already but could withdraw that acceptance in April if they want another school.Maybe they'll chime in and correct us but they had posted that 78 were admitted last time around and now 80 "accepted" I'm not sure if their number of accepted is the same as admitted. I'm reading into it that this recent tweet was supposed to have read 80 "admitted" meaning there could be an undisclosed amount of acceptances, likely > 80, we don't know about. I'm with you though I'd hope there are still 70 or so acceptance to hand out.
I'll chime in 🙂 80 offered acceptance (up 2 from last week) - our projection is ~155. Sorry for the confusion.I feel like it's accepted because people aren't admitted yet since they could have paid the deposit already but could withdraw that acceptance in April if they want another school.

I did attend the Arizona Applicant Academy workshop last year in May. It was super helpful as I got to speak with the Executive Director Dr. Price-Johnson, Assistant Dean Dr. Parikh, Director of Financial Aids, Admissions Office members, and the former Admissions Committee chairman and committee members including the medical students. They basically taught us how to apply into their school. For example, they showed some examples of good, okay, and bad personal statements and told us what critical components we need to have in our personal statement. They taught us how we should ask writers for letters of recommendation. Basically, tips and advice were given on every part of the application process. If you have the chance, do not miss out this golden opportunity to learn about the admission process and meet these amazing people!
Thank you!
Oh ok thanks! We don't have deposits.
I really thought that interviews would go until the end of February, but I'm glad that they are moving onto the next stage of their admissions cycle. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the rest of the class to fill up within the next month and a half, and hopefully a lot of us here can get in. I think this school is amazing and has a lot to offer! However, I'm also really looking forward for the waiting game to be over. (Haha, it can be exhausting repeatedly telling people that you don't know if you got into medical school yet!)
I agree. My family and friends ask me every week!
Just got an email that the COM sent out a round of acceptances this morning. Good luck everyone!
It said that i was not selected at this time but will continue to be considered. Interviewed on 1/21So was this email a positive or negative experience for you?
We do not reject until the end of the acceptance cycle.Does anyone know if they also send out rejections during these small-batch rounds of acceptances?
+1Another day, another "not selected at this time" email *sigh*. I just want to go here so badly
*us+3
Pleaseeeee accept me lol.
"A round of beers have been sent out today. Although you have not been drinking any of it at this time, it does not mean that this process will not make you a raging alcoholic. "*us
When we're all eventually accepted, a round of beers (or nonalcoholic drink of your choice) on me.![]()
On hold, how are you doing? It's been pretty quite here lately... How's everyone doing? Any inside news from the front lines?
No.
Should we be expecting anymore updates before the end of the acceptance cycle or are we pretty much all holding on until March?
To clarify, end of acceptance cycle was being referred to as the day they finalize everyone as accepted, rejected, or wait listed. I thought it was March 15th? I may be wrong but I've seen that date float around.I expect to get updated before then! Last I heard only 89 acceptances out of estimated 155 sent out.
Yeah, and whenever that day occurs, positions will probably never change. Last year, 35-50 waitlist positions, 0 acceptances granted. To clarify, end of acceptance cycle was being referred to as the day they finalize everyone as accepted, rejected, or wait listed. Don't think that's true.. I was looking at last year's forum & saw some acceptances off the WLYeah, and whenever that day occurs, positions will probably never change. Last year, 35-50 waitlist positions, 0 acceptances granted.
"Final notification of your interview status will be sent no later than March 24, 2017."
^ that refers to interview status, idk about waitlist/rejection/acceptance
From what was said at the interview there should have been 0 acceptances off the wait list last year as they over accepted beyond their normal class size, if I'm not mistaken . Talking with the students it seemed UA was going to make more of an effort not to accept too many during the initial acceptance cycle and accept off wait list this year. So hopefully if any of us end up on w/l, there is movement on itDon't think that's true.. I was looking at last year's forum & saw some acceptances off the WL
I'm going based upon MSAR data which says zero.Don't think that's true.. I was looking at last year's forum & saw some acceptances off the WL

Thank you, this was helpfulI believe March 15 is the AAMC deadline for schools to at least meet their expected number of acceptances, but the school can still offer acceptances beyond that date. I spoke to a friend today and she said she will get to know the decision by March 15 from other schools. AAMC also stated clearly on this link at #4: https://www.aamc.org/admissions/admissionslifecycle/409120/trafficrules.html
I communicated with an amazing lady from the Admissions Office and she told me the college has not been using the waitlist in years.
