Did their acceptances for today come out in a single batch? Or are people getting them throughout the day?

Lol just trying to see if I still have a shot to hear something today

I got an email a little over an hour ago saying that I was not accepted this round but was still in the applicant pool.
 
Interview 10/1 and was told that I wouldnt hear back until late October or early November but still got the "although you were not accepted email". Anyone who interview 10/1 get accepted or receive a similar email?
 
Anyone know from previous years if we are on hold what our chances are of acceptance ?

I also interviewed on 10/1 and just received the same email!

Thinking that their message was just automated and sent to us. I doubt that we were actually reviewed for that round since they said we wouldn't be until later this month.
 
Is the not-rejected e-mail a waitlist or more of an update that we're still in the running?

I remember that during my cycle a friend who had interviewed a few weeks before me got an acceptance e-mail around 8 AM one day. I started panicking because I had interviewed two weeks prior and hadn't heard anything. I received my acceptance around 10 AM that same day. I don't know if that will be the case for this cycle. I also don't know why they were staggered like that, it could have been the interview date, it could have been our AMCAS numbers, it could have been our last names (hers started was at the beginning of the alphabet, mine started with a later letter), etc.

Thanks! Also, do you happen to know frmo your application year, if we got the email saying taht we weren't accepted for this round but are still being considered, if anyone gets in after that happens?

lmao im like super paranoid with all these questions but i really wanna go here haha.
Also does everyone get this hold status or have there been any rejections today?

That one I don't know, I would recommend digging through old threads. I went through 2015-2016 one as a study break (lol) and didn't find anyone who got that e-mail and was accepted. That doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't happen though.

Got an acceptance earlier this morning and I interviewed 10/1. I wouldn't worry too much about it considering your app is gonna be reviewed a whole lot between now and March. Also killer MCAT! Maybe I met you that day?
 
So not sure if this helps some folks, but first, I personally know people who were admitted after receiving the "you are still in the running but we can't accept you now" email. When I previously applied, there were updates every 3 weeks or so (3 in 1.5 weeks in December) and basically I got the same email every time. I knew other people who got that email several times and then in Feb or March ended up getting in. Also, at some point (I think mid spring?) they reject a lot of people and you are either rejected or placed on the actual waitlist. I've heard that you keep getting the "we can't accept you yet" email because they really do review applicants at multiple committee meetings. The waiting is painful but when I applied last time, I felt like at least UA keeps you updated re: your status, vs other schools you might interview at, be waitlisted and then hang around until the following summer waiting for any news...

A buddy of mine interviewed in Oct and didn't receive one. Apparently there are people who interviewed in Oct that did or got accepted, so I am assuming it's a similar situation. Sit tight brother.

Last year I interviewed and did not receive any e-mail until my acceptance e-mail. I saw this was common in last years thread as well. Check your spam but not hearing is not cause for concern.

Has anyone who was recently placed on "hold" been granted an interview lately? Some people said they got an interview about a week after being placed on hold but I haven't heard back from them and it's been a few weeks. Not worried, just curious. Thanks!

I was on hold about a week and a half ago and havent heard anything since
 
Does anyone happen to know when / how often the committee meets?
 
Interviewing here on Saturday!! What is the attire for the Diversity Mixer? It looks like it starts right after the interviews are over, do we just go straight there after?

just got the interview hold email
complete 9/19
hoping for a good outcome since i currently have zero interviews this cycle :/
 
Have there been any clear rejections, or does everyone (not extended an II) get pre-interview holds?
 
Guys, I was reading an old thread and apparently a handful of people got called for an interview within 1-3 weeks of getting a hold email. I guess I'm crossing my fingers and just hoping (praying really) for a good outcome!!!

After digging through previous threads, it seems like pre-II hold rejections began coming out around this time. No idea if that will happen here
 
Trying to figure out based on previous threads the chances of being accepted following a post-interview hold. Anyone know of anything?

Can never predict something like that. It depends on how many people that are accepted end up declining the offer
