I hadn't heard anything either. I have not received a secondary, and on the portal, there is no date of my application being forwarded to committee for review. It has been greater than 10 weeks. I called to check on my status, but they would not look up my status. I am sure they get a lot of calls. I will continue to be patient. 🙂

I received a secondary I'm just waiting to hear back for a II

Thank you🙂 No, I haven't received any secondaries at this point. I did apply to all UC's. I received pre-secondary rejections from UCSF, UCD, and UCR. Still waiting on the rest. This is a really brutal process!

i'm sorry to hear :/ the UCs are super picky even with ppl having stellar stats, dont take the rejections too harshly

do you mind sharing when you were verified? I can't tell if the silence from UCSF is a silent rejection for me or there might be hope for a secondary

I was verified mid September, and I received my rejection email 10/18. So, it seems they were pretty quick. I'd say it seems it's a good sign if you haven't heard anything yet.

okay, thanks for sharing-i was verified at the end of august and when i called them a few weeks ago they said they're still reviewing my primary so im holding on some hope!
 
Waitlisted as well. I wonder if they rejected anyone.

It SEEMS like UCSD just doesn't reject people, at least early on. No one has been rejected post secondary, either given an interview or put on hold. Something similar could be happening here.

Feels bad man 🙁 Is this the same for others waitlisted as well?
 
If it's not a ranked waitlist, how do they decide who they give the open spots to?

I was WL and my portal shows a date for "no longer being considered" as well :lame: interested if it shows this for everyone...

I was told during my interview that they will give spots to students who will round out the class. For example, if 70% of those who chose UCSD are female, they will hand out spots to males so it becomes 50/50.

I also want to know, I was waitlisted and when I check the portal, it says 'No longer being considered: 11/22/16' (which is the date decisions came out)
Hoping this is a mistake
 
I have the same thing on mine.

Does anyone who got waitlisted post-II NOT have this on their portal...?

Ah, pre-II. I assumed with so many people posting about being waitlisted they were also referring to pre-II waitlists but it appears I might have been incorrect. Sorry for any confusion I might have caused!

post II = "waitlist", and pre II = "hold"
Is that right?

I just got off the phone with Brian. He's been getting calls from other people too, and he's 100% sure that people who received a waitlist email are on the waitlist. The issue seems to be a coding error (he thinks).

In any case, that's a load off my mind
 
Now I'm just wondering if anyone was even rejected post-interview or if everyone was put on the waitlist haha
 
At my interview they said they used to not do rejections, just put everyone on the WL. But they had negative feedback regarding that and were going to send rejections this year.. but who knows
 
When is the first day of school? Or, when was the first day of school last year?

I am in the same boat as you. I called and they told me that someone had seen my application but had not chosen to reject or invite me for an interview. I still have a chance but the odds are not in my favor. So you're probably in the same situation as me.

When I called they told me my application had not been scored yet, I submitted mid sept

So what exactly is the difference between that and a hold? They seem to be implying something similar, no?
