Well I hope so, this is quite the comedic bunch... I think we all understand that we just have to trust this process, but it sure does help to have an outlet for the internal angst. And, besides doctors who are too busy to sit and listen to my impatient ramblings, y'all are the only other people in the world that understand what this process is like. I actually hadn't participated in this forum once prior to my first interview, but afterwards, I'm this site's number one tenant. 🙂
 
Anyone have an idea when the next round of acceptances will go out?

Who know?! But they have repeatedly made it clear that by next Wed they have to have 60 offers out so for sure by next Wed there should be another round of acceptances out! (Unless all 60 have already gone out.)
 
For all the talk of UW and WSU not liking each other (more hype than reality I think), I believe they colluded on making sure most of their applicants were sitting on the edge of their seats this week.... :whistle:

Idk, it didn't sound like hype during the UW interview. @SSSMDt should be able to confirm. Sounded like they were out for blood.

My UW tour guide said that it was great that WSU was opening up a medical school...now this was a student, so they may have just been stating their own opinion, and I didn't actually speak to any faculty/staff about it. There are obviously enough students in the state to house to medical schools, and as long as the legislature is willing to maintain funding for both, then I think it is much ado about nothing. I guess UW would also have to start sharing some of its federal grant funding too, maybe.
 
Anyone willing to share whether you're allowed to use a pen/paper to take notes during the MMI?

I'm pretty confident the school would be fine revealing that information but I'd rather not call and bother them for what feels like a small detail.

Yeah, the interview being so long ago it's hard to remember if there was animosity between the two or if UW justifiably only had reservations regarding the clinical sites. It certainly felt like the former if my memory serves me right. But it doesn't make a lick of difference to me, honestly im excited to get accepted here and make good friends with my WSU classmates and UW cohorts alike.

WSU put a video on their twitter of the phone call with the first accepted student, and someone very intentionally blurred out the list of names on the Dean's desk. It's so funny to imagine someone sighing and shaking their head at our attempts to zoom in 🤣

I saw the dean the other day down at Tosche Station picking up some power converters. I made sure to ask him if his chores were done, he said "yeah, I don't have to make anymore acceptance calls till Friday."

Congrats to all accepted. Exciting!

Anyone after Feb 17 accepted? Trying to gauge if any group after the Feb 21 admcom mtg is included in this batch. My gut sense is no. I'm not sure when the adcom mtg is after that. Maybe when the interviewing season ends?

Does anyone have any details on how the waitlist will operate/when we would be notified if we've been put on the waitlist?
 
Isn't there an interview on 3/10? Doesn't that most likely indicate that not all 60 offers have been given out yet? On the email it said I had until 3/22 to respond to the offer. So in terms of waitlist and what not, perhaps that date will be what opens up more seats.
 
There is actually interviews through 3/24 (that was my original date but I was able to move up)
 
Why do I feel like the admissions folks are laughing at our rampant speculation?
