Got secondary OOS
I was freaking out this morning too when I didn't get but just wait, I'm sure you'll get it.I'm on edge with all these secondaries going out but none for me 🙁 I interviewed here the previous cycle I applied so I assumed I would at least get a secondary this time....
For the "Total Applied" does that include everyone that submitted a primary to them or only those that received and completed a secondary and thus considered "Applicants"?I posted the link to the spreadsheet on reddit right after my first post mentioning it.
It's under Rowan university!I don't see Cooper on that sheet

^just didMy guess is as good as yours, I think it may be post screen but don't quote me on that.
+1Secondary received this morning!
Gah is anyone still waiting on one? I got one the last time applied in 2015 and really liked the school so I hope they come in batches!
Mine says the same thing (and I was verified with all my letters June 1st) but this has happened for other schools that I've submitted secondaries to and they usually update it within a few days.Does anyone else's secondary say "No Letters of Recommendation have been submitted." ? I received the secondary today, but I sent in my primary and Committee packet like back in June. Assuming this just means that mine wasn't processed and attached to my account yet, but just want to see if anyone else sees this too.
Where is this reddit link? thanks!!! 🙂My guess is as good as yours, I think it may be post screen but don't quote me on that.
It's on page 2 of this thread but here's the direct link: I have access to the updated 2018 US News Data, including amounts of Applicants, Interviews, Accepted and matriculated Students! • r/premedWhere is this reddit link? thanks!!! 🙂

Just noticed actually, for those who received a secondary, did the last prompt not have a character limit? Slightly confused as to whether I should keep to the 1k character limit of first 3 questions or write more.
How long after the "we have received your application through AMCAS, we will send you a secondary if you qualify" etc. etc. email did people receive the secondary?

I received an interview invitation yesterday and I'm so nervous! Does anyone know what the patient simulation portion of the interview is like?
oos
Verified 6/9
secondary submitted 7/27
interview invite 8/17
It's the same way for me. I kind of want to utilize it, since 1000 characters is SO limiting. But Cooper's my first choice, so I also don't want to shoot myself in the foot by being a rule-breaker. Dilemmas.Hey! The last question on my secondary application ("Please describe a time when you faced a problem that had no single right answer. How did you approach your solution?") does not have a character limit. Is this happening to anyone else? All of my other questions have a 1,000 character limit.
As an in-stater this is not the most appealing choice out of the three Jersey med schools, but its really hard to dispute those secondary to interview to acceptance percentages...

I think it's post-screen, too since MSAR has "5879 verified applications" for Cooper but the doc that was provided has 3306 as the number.
One would thinkAre they still sending out secondaries?
I think so, I only got mine earlier this week. Are they still sending out secondaries?
Hey y'all, after looking at the spreadsheet and MSAR, I'm pretty sure that the "Rowan University" they have listed is Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine, and not Cooper. The numbers in the spreadsheet don't line up at all with the numbers in the MSAR. Just didn't want anyone to get their hopes up with the higher numbers for Rowan SOM!

...think I could use this as the prompt's situation to having "no right answer"![]()
They ask for a head shot?
Hey, I actually used 1054 characters for the last question which was not character limited and got an II a few days ago. It was alright in my case!
@laferrari Seemed fine for me. Maybe make sure it was not too large? Mine was 16.5kb, with 261 x 308 pixel length.
They ask for a photo after you receive an II, at least for me. (Maybe later secondaries might require initially while submitting secondary...I submitted mine 7/27.)
Don't be nervous! If you're OOS and picked this early they must love you.
The II day is a blast. There are a few info sessions, a tour of facilities, a standardized patient assessment (5 minutes each), and an interview of about 30 minutes. Everyone is super nice and helpful. Only thing I would practice is patient assessment if you don't have much clinical experience, it can be nerve wracking and on one of them I forgot to introduce itself lol.
Just submitted my secondary. Is there a way, like emailing admissions, to update about current activities. Did not see instructions or is this not advised.
I see, thanks!I read on other threads about Cooper that they do not accept updates, not sure if that is still true for this year tho
