I submitted secondary yesterday but it it still not showing green checkmark beside it. Is anyone experiencing that? It is not 24 hours yet but close to it though. Just curious!
Hey! I'm having the same problem and it's been more than 24 hours now...

This is a stupid question, but what does this: MD Primary:55| Secondary:11|II:|A:|R:|WL:|W:11 at the bottom of your and other people's posts mean?

It's just a summary of an individual's application cycle: number of schools that they applied to, secondaries received and submitted, interviews received, acceptances, rejections, waitlists, and withdraws.

Thanks! @Kingsmen2018, how did you apply to 55 schools?! I imagine that was unbelievably expensive...

Anyone not receive a secondary yet? I've a lot of people get them and was hopeful about this school... Still waiting on the secondary. Lizzy M around 68 and URM

Thank you, this answered everything I was looking for.If my girlfriend and I live in Canada then she can still work as a teacher here (in Canada). Although I can see what you mean.
Presumably, I think you could also do it the other way where you live in the States and she commutes across. But I think you would end up paying taxes in both countries since you live in one and earn in the other, and that's probably not worth it. In my experience, depending on what you're comfortable with, rent could be cheaper in Windsor. If it helps, I would say the border was usually pretty good when I crossed, but it was always an added conmy schedule allowed it. Had I been in medical school, I don't think I would have done it.

No problem! Glad I could help. Feel free to PM me if you have any more Canada-commuting questions.

Hey! I'm having the same problem and it's been more than 24 hours now...
It has been almost 44 hours since I submitted. I emailed them yesterday and I was told that "Looking into the forms we have submitted yours comes up as submitted successfully at 3:57pm yesterday. The checklist just has not refreshed yet, but your application has been successfully submitted. If you have any other questions feel free to call us and have a great weekend."
This was about 20 hours ago, it is still not refreshed. I will call them on Monday.

Ok, they're probably just experiencing a traffic overload. Thanks for checking!

Are you an out of state student? Maybe that has something to do with it?

I'm in state and haven't gotten it yet. Might contact them next week.

I was verified 6/7 and received the secondary 6/30 if that helps

Submitted on 7/6 and the green checkmark still hasn't appeared. Any updates on this issue or should I send them an email?

Same. I'm sure it's fine since so many of us are experiencing the same problem. But it wouldn't hurt to check up on it I guess.

secondary received! They requested that supporting materials be submitted within 2 weeks (including LOR and essays). My prehealth committee most likely will not finish their letter before then... so in this case what should I do? Email the school?

Hey did you ever contact about this? Im in the same boat as well with the committee letter. do you think they'll make a big deal if its not in within 2 weeks? also, where is the deadline listed? it says nothing about 2 weeks in my email or on their website.

I didn't end up contacting them about it because my school actually got my letter written and submitted much faster than I thought!! The 2 week deadline was within the secondary application. However, I know they were having issues with their secondary at first, so I don't imagine they'd be super strict about it. Also, I'm pretty sure the 2-week deadline would only apply to essays/other info and not to letters.

I was going to wait a week after my initial submission. If I don't see the check that morning, then I'm going to call to see if maybe they're having some technical issues.
I emailed and got this response:

Thank you for contacting the Wayne State School of Medicine. At the moment, we are working to sort through our first batch of secondary applications, which will take longer than the standard 48 business hours it generally takes. We are unsure when the applications will be uploaded to your portal, however if you would like to check on the submission of your secondary application, you may see whether or not it was submitted on the dynamic forms website. Under the "Forms History" tab, it will say whether or not you have submitted an application. Thank you for your patience!

Wow, awesome!! So we are all good guys

Got the check on my secondary. However, my status is still incomplete. Anyone else with this issue?

I finally got the green checkmark next to "secondary application", but I didn't get an email confirmation saying that my application was complete and it still says that my admission decision is "Med school app incomplete". Does anyone know if we have to send in college transcripts to them? That's the only item on my checklist that needs a checkmark other than the optional additional documents.

^+3. Finally! I don't think we need to send transcripts until later, because the directions say not until an offer of acceptance

They probably just haven't downloaded your LORs off AMCAS yet holmes.

Does anyone's portal show the date the secondary application was completed as the day they received the completion email and not the date the secondary application was actually completed?

Mine says: "Latest response received on Jul. 11, 2017 08:59 PM", but when I click on the secondary app link, it has recorded that I submitted on 7/6/2017.

Anyone know the deal with the LORs requirements? Their website says to submit 3 LORs, and MSAR says min 3 max 10. Would it be okay to upload 6-7?

So, anyone else get that interview module email? NOT II. But like come join us for blah blah blah

Not me!

*someone else please like this post so I know I'm not the only one*

You might want to check your junk email because that's where it was. TBH its just an online info session with some faculty and students about the interview process there

Is anyone a current student? I'm deciding on whether or not to submit my secondary app...because I'm OOS and I dont know who can afford 70,000 tuition every year?! Do they give significant scholarships? That price is absurd

its 91k according to MSAR, not 70k! im wondering the same thing to be honest.

The 91k includes cost of living I believe. Tuition is still 70k for OOS.
