Unless its people who were accepted that are now just getting the link. Im with Ramneet, 400 is way over. Also, it seems unlikely that anyone who got in wouldnt post here or have an account
Looks bad but I’m gonna cope and say that the tracker is still sitting at 550 As when they normally make ~700 and that some of that 419 may leave after the CTE. Also possible that some people dropped but did not leave the FB group. Over enrolling a class by 33% is pretty much unheard of to my knowledge.

In past years it goes up to 700?
I also heard previous med students (ie M2s, m3s) can join the chat to provide guidance. Idk If that's the case here
M2 here. There are over 500 people in our facebook group with a class of 300 lol. Lots of upperclassmen use it as a marketplace, asking for pet sitting etc. so don't let it scare you. That being said, I have no idea if any waitlist movement will happen, just saying don't trust the groupme and facebook group numbers.
Guess, WL movement will happen in June (if there is any 😵💫)

June 10th is CTE. 7 more days lol but I doubt there will even be any significant movement afterwards. Sounds like the class is mostly filled considering about 300 students matriculate every year
Yea. I have given up hope, it is what it is.
Don’t give up hope. I see a lot of students on the chat who were accepted and have left. They were probably taken off the waitlist elsewhere. Spots may open soon. They’re probably waiting for 6/10.

Ughhh really wanted to go to Wayne State but my PTE school also has their CTE deadline on June 10th 😕😕😕
I'm wondering if you could maybe write a tactfully worded email to admissions about your situation?
Or call them?
Maybe others can chime in about the appropriateness of this as well

i had to withdraw for another school but it’s so insane that they pushed their cte so far back and so close to their orientation

Did the CTE change from June 10th to another date?
Me rn. I have a CTE coming up and I plan to withdraw from Wayne. It really sucks but it is what it is

Completely agree… they sent rejections last year on June 27th so there’s about two weeks left for them to release decisions. I still can’t gauge how many people are left on the WL though

I don't see date change. Can you direct me to see where this new date is?. Someone who has been accepted got email today to commit to enrol by 5 pm today.
The Wayne State MSAR page had June 14th, 2024 as the CTE deadline last June. Wayne State uploaded their own document on their website with their CTE as June 10th a few months later in October so I believe it was still today.

Ngl, according to our class chat our projected for this year is already looking to be quite bigger than usual. I’m pretty sure further WL movement will be minimal :/

I'm convinced that the June 10th CTE date probably didn't lead to people dropping, or if there was a drop in As, maybe a small handful.

The registration portal opened on June 10 and it says 298 students have already registered for classes (the deadline to register is June 14). I've heard around that Wayne is expecting a larger class this year, we'll see where the numbers go.

I called the admin office yesterday and she said there will be some WL movement until July. Then again, she wasn't aware the CTE passed.
