I'm not sure why bv that bugged you

I'm sure why that bugged you so much, but hey you have a great temperament to become a doctor. Are you going to tell your patients to do a Google search instead of asking questions?

LOLLLLLL
SDN Snark™ is my favorite flavor

They updated the tracker, but no new bullet point for number of acceptances which is weird.
  • Primary Applications: 8,564
  • Secondary Applications: 4,988
  • Interviews: 239
  • Interview Invitations: 372
Does this mean our chance of getting an II is super low at this point?

Hey everyone, current M1 here coming back to the pre-allo side of things. A quick glance at recent posts looks like it was a big week in the admissions world. Come thru if you have any questions, concerns, etc.

Best of luck this cycle! I look forward to meeting more of you on interview days

Hey there! I do have a question that maybe you can answer. It seems like there was a bunch of acceptances last week for those who interviewed in September. Since then its been radio silence. Is there a chance that people who interviewed the same day might get acceptances months apart, or is it more likely to just cut the losses?

Thanks!

I’m not involved in the admissions process, so take this with a grain of salt. I actually thought I was getting rejected last year because people from my interview day and later heard back about their acceptance before I did. For reference, I interviewed around early-mid October but didn’t hear back until mid January. So, to answer your question, I would say yes there’s definitely a chance people could be accepted at a later date.

For those that have been accepted, has anyone else not gotten the email for the link to accept your admissions offer? I still haven’t gotten mine and am anxious to formally say yes!

I haven't gotten mine either. I only got one email that pretty much said "we're going to send you another email" haha.

This might be a silly question, but for people who interviewed here, how did you handle thank you notes? They gave us one email address to send all of them to, and said they would forward the message to the individual interviewers. Did you send separate letters for each interviewer or one generic letter? And did you include all 6 people (group activity, group interview, individual interview) or just the 2 from the individual interview?

I realize I might be over-analyzing, but I REALLY enjoyed my interview here and felt like they put a lot of effort into making us feel welcome and putting us at ease, so I want to make sure I show the appropriate level of gratitude!

I only sent a general thank you email to the admissions committee and asked them to thank all the faculty involved. If I were to have them forward to individual people, I probably only would have for the solo interviews since they are most likely to remember me. However, I don't really think anyone would really be annoyed by a simple thank you email if you wanted to send it to others. But I would still send it to the admissions committee and have them forward it rather than send it to each individual unless they personally gave you their email and said it was okay to email them.

Has anyone who was accepted get that email yet that we were supposed to receive about setting up the student portal?

Just got the email to formally accept their offer. You electronically submit a contract to hold your spot, which is due within two weeks of the offer. You also have to submit a 200 dollar deposit, but that's not due until July, which is nice.

I am confused... I just received an email from CUSOM as a reminder to complete my secondary application. But I never sent a primary in the first place. I double checked my AMCAS and I did not include CUSOM in my school list. Anyone in the same boat?

I got something similar from a DO school I never applied to earlier this cycle. Probably a computer error

Similar to the previous post.

I just received an inviation to complete my secondary today morning. I have submitted my primary long time ago. Is it even worth it at this point? Have been waiting to get this invite but it seems like a tough shot to be getting the invite just now.

TL;DR should i submit the secondary? Or is it a donation at this point?

I don't think they would bother to send it this late if you didn't have a shot

I just got the same email. This was the only school I didn't get a secondary from and now they're reminding me to complete it? This late it's got to be a donation. Unless you think you are an exceptional candidate I wouldn't bother.

I just don't see them reviewing my primary application and thinking "Wow I wonder why this applicant didn't complete a secondary, better remind them." I feel like some glitch didn't send us an email for a secondary invite and now the system is reminding everyone who hasn't completed the secondary to do so. You'll be a late applicant regardless. But hey that's just my thought. Shoot your shot if ya aint worried about the $100.

I also checked the portal, and it had this email in the communication status page - if anyone who hasn't received the email yet wants to check.

Nvm lol. The link in the email does not even work. Must be a system glitch, but hey, I was willing to donate $100 for any chance to interview for this school.

Can I send an update expressing my interest and updating my activities even if I haven't been invited to interview?
